Add anti-tank mines, it was, is and always will be the most common AT weapon.
The anti tank grenades (explosive pack) is an extremely effective anti tank weapon once you learn how to cook them to not give the enemy tank a chance to run away from it.
But its not a mine, its not a passive defense weapon
Mines would be a very annoying mechanic, you could die because some dude placed a mine in the middle of a road 10 minutes ago. Better to have active weapons than passive weapons as active weapons reward you for playing well while passive weapons might reward you randomly because of sheer luck.
Good, you yourself said that a tank is too OP if no-one does anything to destroy it
It was not really OP, it was just dumb. Nobody took out a tank to kill me, nobody took a pack of TNT and yeeted it at me.
Tanks are extremely vulnerable in an Infantry based game, its really easy to flank them, however people donβt seem to use their initiative and instead just run into the meat grinder,
i feel tanks are pretty balanced against infantry at the moment, actually really easy to take out unless the flanks are secured by infantry, but then again. that boils down to teamwork and not effectiveness of a the tank, you can have 4 tanks on the enemy team with incompetent gunners/drivers , and they will be destroyed by a single guy using teamwork with infantry.
in regards to mines, i feel the game does not require it, and will also open up cheesing such as mining the spawn, creating a build up of wrecks at the spawn, we have enough anti tank weaponry to successfully deal with tanks. you can also utilize tank traps to area deny vehicles.
Tanks traps can be dismantled in a few second by anyone, and you cant mine a spawn since tanks spawn beyond the infantry map limits, or could made to spawn
you can however mine the road leading out of spawn. i just personally think it will bring more issues , we have more than adequate anti tank weapons .
I feel that mines would be a tad bit too annoying. Their implementation in HnG shows the potential for passive, annoying antitank behavior. I do think this is a good idea, but the players make it a bad idea.
I understand your point but a mine field can be cleared with a few ex-packs
and a tank can be killed with one expack?
Then the tankers need to:
1: notice the mines (which they probably wouldnt as they are tiny and tanks have horrible visibility
2: have explosive packs with them
3: get out of the tank, vulnurable to enemy fire
4: accurately throw the explosive pack to destroy the mine without killing themselves at the same time

They can just shoot the mines too, and the mine can just detrack a tank
the only time i could possibly suggest mines, is on larger maps like cuisine royale. on smaller mas, it will just be mine spam, and render tanks useless to play. but again, we have adequate AT weapons. they should just focus on adding more AT grenades perhaps
if the mine only takes out a track, it would be useless compared to an actual explosive pack.
shooting mines would still require the tanker to carry a gun, get out, shoot it without dying, etc.

Are you driving a tractor or a tank? I think all tanks in Enlisted have a main gun and a couple of MG.
Taking our a track makes the tank immobile, and an easy target for CAS
Gun depression of tanks does not allow them to take out mines right in front of them.
For CAS it really does not matter whether you are moving or not. If they are accurate with their bombs, you will die either way.
Eh, you wont shoot mine right infront of you, you are suposed to shoot them before getting near them and you can easly use HE shell to get rid of mines, CAS has best chances of killing you when not moving rather than moving, Mines would be good, and they would be rare, like really rare to get maybe one mine for start before getting more, if tank losses tracks its dead.
Its also really hard to block a road with mines, a mine is 30cm wide and tank tracks are 40cm x 2 wide, so a road thats 6m wide is quite hard to effectively block, i really cant see how AT-mines would be βtooβ good.
