MG131 HMG position bug

Due to the AA ironsight on the MG131, the weapon is practically unaimable, especially at high azimuth angles, until the weapon begins to heat up and you can aim using the overheat circle.

Additionally, this may be false, but it feels like it doesn’t have as much elevation and depression as the Allied M2 browning, which also suffers from the aim issue, but doesn’t have an obstructed view from a nonfunctional ironsight.

Why are HMGs aimed the way they are? Was it too difficult to align the player’s view down the ironsights for all angles of azimuth and elevation and have the bullets shoot straight out of the barrel?

You can send the bug here, and provide more info about it

All such machine guns have this problem, it’s just that in mg 131 it is most pronounced.

I wouldn’t say it’s bug. The sights never reflected reality. In this state the gun was released.

And it was like this for half of year already and nothing has changed.
Is really needed to report unfinished and unpolished features to the bug site? I would at least expect devs are aware of it…

I think developers love to “forget” about “necrotic” bugs

No lol. This is the most obvious mistake that the developers brazenly forgot.

I know

But it can help for the guy in another moment

Yeah, I know, its just that the M2 browning has sights that actually let you see where the tracers are going, while the 131 hides it all with the useless AA sight

Looking now, it seems it’s already been reported and acknowledged. It was reported 7 months ago and acknowledged 5 months ago.
