It’s already the best fighter plane in the game by far, it doesn’t really need the bombload of a ground attack aircraft to be viable.
The only way I think it could reasonably keep its current bombload without being disgustingly broken would be to rework the vehicle system around a score requirement. A vehicle like the meteor would not be as common to see because a vehicle like the meteor would take a lot of score to spawn in.

But if the bomb changes like that, I’ll take out the title of the best airplane anymore.
If only have 2 100kg bombs without a HE shell, it is far behind the CAS capabilities of other factions. (500kg and 30mm HE shell)
I’d rather choose ME 262 or Kikka or even Su-9.
The Meteor is now the worst.
If it was a US 500 lb, I wouldn’t have evaluated it this much.
But this isn’t the power of a 250kg bomb, it’s the power of a 100kg bomb.

For a fighter, and not just any, but the best in the entire game, it’s plenty.
Use real CAS instead if you want to vaporize the ground. Like p47. Or that new plane that is coming.

Mitchell is worst plane,
Only P-47 is good but GE have Fw 190 D-12 and JP have Ki-83.
and Me 262 and Kikka CAS is Excellent.
British 500lb is notoriously bad at killing tanks.
Yes, that’s the biggest problem.
The infantry kills less, but actually the biggest thing is the tank destruction difficulty.
As for tanks, they are the same as 100kg bombs, so they both have the same difficulty.
We have to drop it with that much accuracy.
It also means that it can be easy avoided if the tank notices and maneuvers.
Then people will say fighters shouldn’t be bombers but not in brv… all bets are off.
The P-47 is much better than the Fw 190 D-12 and Ki-83.

P-47 is better than that, but they doesn’t lag behind.
and also have to think about Me 262 and Kikka.
P-47 and Meteor is better than Kikka
The P-47 is better than the Me-262, the Meteor and Me-262 are having a good discussion now.
But I still think the Meteor is better than the Me-262.
No.
Kikka is definitely better now.
I’ve actually destroyed the Meteor a lot with Kikka even before it was nerfed.
Since it’s a game with Lead Aim anyway, 30mm HE side is easier to destroy faster.
But now, if even further behind Kikka in CAS capabilities, there’s now only a P-47 way to destroy Ho-Ri. (If it’s a 100kg bomb, it can evade it with Ho-Ri’s mobility.)
Ah yes.
The side strafing Focke Wulf! Because who needs accurate bombing, eh?
As for the Ki… I hope you are joking. All it has are 2x 100kg… in br5. A mere 30mm doesn’t cut it when rendering distance is so bad you can’t see infantry before getting near 500m low…
Anyway.
No. And that’s from a Commonwealth main, mind you.

I play BR5 of all Faction, just Random Any Battle.
That’s why I don’t have a special main, and if anything, everything is the main.
It will never be better than the Meteor; the Kikka only has 100 30mm rounds, while the Meteor has four 20mm cannons with 700 rounds, It’s much better for dogfight and Kikka ammo runs out very quickly And the Meteor still turns faster than any BR4 or BR5 aircraft or jet, so the Meteor remains better than the Kikka.
It’s a difference in experience.
I fire in anticipation of where the infantry might be, and it’s actually quite valid.
This is also the difference in HE.
Low count shell, but because it’s HE, Kikka can be destroyed Meteor immediately with only a small amount, and it has a better killing power for infantry.
It can quickly resupply the problem of 100 shells by utilizing Jet’s mobility.
This is true. In all honesty I’d love to keep the Meteor as the King Tiger of aircraft, the be all end all of the skies. But with the the way BR5 and the vehicle system is set up right now it’s definitely not healthy for the game.
If they were to:
- Add high tier AA, shooting down jets with a single 20mm is a bit much to ask of a player.
- Add a score requirement for vehicles, if you wanna play a vehicle then you gotta play infantry.
- Decompress BR5, the jump from BR4 to BR5 is basically a double uptier, and there’s enough BR5 equipment to make 2 separate tiers (except for Japan but there’s plenty of stuff they could add for Japan).
These kinds of conditions would allow for the Meteor to have a stable spot at the top of the food chain, but for the average player at the moment it just seems unstoppable.
I wish I had that kind of luck then, I’d have to fire about 10 shots to take down the Meteor.
And it’s very difficult to hit the Meteor, so the ammo runs out very quickly.

Firing blind.
Now image the success you’d have if you actually saw what you were shooting at.
