From what we saw on the test server, it looks like the squad pre-set system will only be able to save just that, the loadout of total squads. Do you think there will be, at least in the future, some sort of system to clear all equipment off of other squads to be allocated to the currently selected pre-set? I’m worried about switching between various BR pre-sets being very tedious when medkits, grenades, swords, and pistols might all be stuck on another saved pre-set because all you’re doing is swapping out the squads.
I understand there will be/are additional presets on a squad and individual soldier basis, but it will be incredibly tedious if we have to pour through those every single time we want to swap BRs, plus manually clearing equipment off the pre-set currently holding needed gear.
And then there is also the issue of cosmetics, which could be a major problem going forward. People are already complaining about the costs of having to buy cosmetics for five different campaigns on one squad, imagine when they realize there won’t (at least at first) be an easy way to swap the equipped cosmetics around between squads for switching BR.
What do you guys think? I’m getting the feeling that they want us having to own tons of already equipped soldiers of different tiers and already set up with equipment in different squads, which I could live with if it weren’t for the luxuries that I absolutely won’t want left unused.
