i have seen a suggestion for medics already, but its clear that the medic squad would be the most useless squad, so people generally disliked it
but i sometimes give trooper a backpack and let him hoar the medics, requesting healing for other soldiers, then i got the idea - how about there are no “medic squads” but only medics, unlocked after some level
medics can only carry a handgun or a melee weapon
they can carry many medpacks (need to be equipped)
they automatically heal damaged allies that are in cover
they may pick up medpacks from dead soldiers, instead of guns
squads dont need to “unlock” medic slots (like troopers unlock engineers or assaulters …), but they come with only 1 medic slot, which cannot be changed
sounds pretty good, and it might make close range less prevalent. my main complaint is not letting them get a rifle, since they would be near useless in actual combat and they probably did get them irl. id say give them the starter BA but dont let them get a better gun
res as in help downed teammates
if they couldnt use actual rifles i really doubt anyone would pick them over a regular troop-especially in later stages of the campaign
as we discussed them in the past, i can’t see me changing my mind back then, and not even now.
as long they are cosmetics for the normal soldiers ( which it’s a bit… strange even there )
they don’t really have a place for such fast phase game like enlisted.
only handsgun?
they are going to be useless as well i’m afraid…
( even if they have " good perks " or should i say special inhuman abilities that i don’t like even a bit )
and people would make the medic a target to begin with it. so it would be just like not having one.
medics are soldiers by the way they can carry riffle the us army used m1 grands with there medics u can see this in saving private Ryan and other war movies aswell
No, it could unbalance the game. The attackers would drain tickets at a slower pace and defender already have unlimited spawns, so this would only help the attackers and prolong the duration of matches. Speed and aggression are the key (and well placed rally points) not extending the lives of the attacking team.
Given how fast our AI squad mates die it seems too risky to put all medkits to one guy. One arty strike, you hide in a building but our AI squad strolls outside under the rain of shells. Will our medic survive to heal others or will be one of the first to get killed?
