Probably some conquest or dday map… most left at the very beginning, I can’t really blame them…

The result of no match making, lack of a map or even a game type filter most likely. Conquest and destruction are often left as soon as they pop up

Simplest penalty for deserting, (Deserting doesn’t count if the game isn’t hasn’t shown the title, there are lots of legit reasons to quit before the game is rolled, while you are still on the home screen thus no penalty).
The penalty for desertion:
• if quit when in the map and in the first 10 minutes, the player will lose their daily task perk in the next two games. If the player quits after the first 10 minutes they will have to play the next game without earning the daily task.
