Maybe i know why in so many instances a tank will drive through a AT mine and not detonate it

Yes, many players don’t even know AT mines exist since of how useless they’re in such a fast paced live, die and repeat game

But if you ever used them, they are not that reliable too, many times a tank will pass through one and not detonate it, at first sight i thought that happened because of the mine being a pressure activated type of mine, so it was needed to the tracks to touch it to explode or for the tank bottom/floor to be closer to the ground, depending on the type of tank

But now i think i know why that happens, in many instances the AT mine would also be kinda buried on the ground because of this game engine and being kinda buggy but i didn’t think muck about it, but now this might be the reason they fail sometimes to activate, because of this game engine not being one of the best (might have to do with the thick snow and the dynamic ground being destroyable) the AT mine, depending on where it’s placed, will be buried into the ground and since it’s inside the ground and not on the ground, will not activate upon a vehicle pass through it

I’m not too sure about this but it could be classified as a bug or something, more testing would be needed for further clarification.

At least for me they work just fine for many month now.

I have killed 100< tanks with AT mines and never had a problem. When I have, it was usually because someone set artillery over the minefield after I left. At least in Normandy they work primo… Not sure about the snow dynamics in other campaigns.
