Exactly, this should’ve been fixed a long time ago.
Same with the IS squads. Any squad with poor sales gets discounted in no time. The Japanese BAR squad went on sale right after the last season ended, and now it’s getting removed from the store only one season later. Honestly, is this the shortest-lived squad we’ve ever seen? Its performance was actually perfectly decent too.
The Chinese SMG squad is stat-wise barely more than a slightly tweaked PPD-27. They just gave it a few extra rounds and dumped it into BR 3. If that’s the case, the PPD-34 could easily drop down to BR 2 as well. DF really needs to rebalance the stats and move this squad to BR 2. You can even see in the artwork it’s still packing BR 2 Bazookas.
From what I remember, it had a comeback once last year and the year before that. Lately, there have been quite a lot of obscure Soviet squads making a return too—like the LaGG, the I-16, and the dreadful Valentine. It looks like Soviet content reruns are just going to cycle over and over from now on.
What a ridiculous tank! Who even uses it these days? I think this is its first return ever since it got delisted. I doubt many people want it anyway. I already have the Leopard and Tiger, so why would I buy this? It would only be useful if they ever add BR 6 and move those two up to BR 5.
Nice premium squad to grab! Now Germany’s top-tier machine gun squads for BR2 are all complete. Plus it’s on discount, fairly priced, not starting at five or six thousand gold like before.
Here they go again with artificial scarcity marketing. They’ve barely released new content these past few years. At this rate, there will be fewer and fewer items left to sell in the shop.
Engineers? I still have an old screenshot from the Normandy update. I swear there was also an elite radio operator squad with Johnson rifles too. Just how many reskinned tech-tree squads have they released over the years? Sure, they’re nothing but collector’s pieces, yet they still charge a steep price for them.
The British Atrius, the improved M10… wait, both the Hellcat and M10 are already at BR3, so why is this thing still stuck at BR4? Do they even pay attention to the game meta when setting these prices?
The legacy of Stalingrad, the flame-throwing roach car! Now both flame-thrower vehicles are gone from the shop.
Honestly, this vehicle is absolutely amazing. In open areas with no indestructible cover, it can burn out every enemy in minutes.
They’re delisting this for a full-price re-release later, it’s definitely not because of poor sales.
It’s pretty obvious they just didn’t sell well. Aside from Germany’s flame-roach vehicle, the American T-24 and the Soviet IS-1 (a lazy reskin that’s pretty bad) are all underwhelming. The Soviet AS44 is completely outclassed by the AS45.
That said, I’m confused about the Japanese machine gun squad—it’s not even bad at all. In truth, it’s roughly on par with the premium American M1918 squad and Germany’s captured Polish Browning squad. The only explanation is they plan to re-release it at full price later and pull artificial scarcity tactics.
It’s an absolutely fantastic vehicle. It originally came in the Stalingrad bundle, so it’s definitely top-tier. If you main German BR3, you’ll frequently end up in flat, low-cover maps like Tunisia and Moscow from BR2.
Trust me, this tank hits around 40 kilometers per hour. Rush in early, and you can incinerate entire groups of clustered enemy AI before they spread out—easily taking down twenty to thirty foes in one go. Spray flames in a circle, then quickly pull back and circle around again. Enemies can’t deal with it in time; they’ll all get burned down straight away.
It only struggles on dense maps like Stalingrad and Berlin. If you have extra squad slots free, you can slot it at the bottom of your lineup as a fun toy. It really deserves to be down at BR2 though!
MG30 is Austrian, MG31 is Hungarian, but I did buy MG30 to larp cosplay as Hungarians only to find out that the customization options havent been updated for the squad and I cant buy any clothes that would make my troops look like they could be Hungarian.
