Is there any matchmaking at all??? Currently it seems like match selection is random . It’s not fun being the club or the one being clubbed …

There is a lot more to ballance then just unlocks. For example I noticed that single most important factor in any match are portable spawns. Your team either has them and so you have chance to win or you dont have them, in which case the chances of winning are significatnly lower.
This is usually what leads to one sided matches. when a team can attack from an unexpected angle, this is what can break defences - simply by flooding the enemy. Tanks and better weapons can help, but i’ve never seen them decide and dictate games (the fact that I havent seen that doesnt mean it doesnt happen).
I do agree that a lack of matchmaking is curious tho, I’m not entierly sure I like the idea of premium squads facing against newcomers to the game. This being said, bolt action can still kill you in one hit, no matter the squad and number of stars and I did squad wipes with just a bolt action and a nice window.
Overall I’d argue that onesided matches might not be caused by differing levels of equipment, but rather by poor utilization of that equipment in battle.
That is because you never faced a Sherman during Normandy invasion shooting at your troops and tanks from his spawn preventing our explosives, tanks, bomb and anti tank weapons to shoot at.
So, it does affect. And perhaps a matchmaking should be a thing.
Since the alpha a matchmaking based on skill was suggested and should have been something…
But it’s hard as the more you progress, the more you will have to “ tryhard” just to win, and get your needed xp

Well, honestly game will die without Matchmaking because your are lacking in every way and just leave bad taste. Especially fighting against hordes of tanks that you cant counter any way!
