For the second time in a row, I logged in to play Germany at BR3…had 1 teammate who finished with 18 kills, while I led the way with 100 plus…to only notice that I was playing 5 REAL player opponents. That doesn’t sound like the announced for new match making last update. All 5 opponents were top of thier leaderboard.

I think I’ve lost at least 8 of the last 10 matches I’ve been in due to horrible matchmaking.
In BR3 most of my team has been BR2 and not just that; they have 1 BR2 squad and the rest is BR1 (medic, sniper, rifleman) with 2-3 troopers in squad. Humans or bots I don’t know - they have been terrible at winning objectives.
Opponents have been mostly vets wielding loads of BR, events and special weapons.
I’m really starting to consider if this game is worth my time and money cause the fun has gone at present.

I can’t remember the last time i WASN’T uptiered to BR2 with my 100% BR1 squads, and it always seems like my team is the mostly BR1 team while the opponent is a stack all at BR2. I think I’ve lost something like 7 of my last 9 matches, where the lowest scoring opponent has approximately the same amount of kills as our top 2 (usually I’m in there, but sometimes just get RINSED). Definitely you can say “skill issue,” but it’s also bolt rifles vs machine guns, and half my team probably haven’t even bought a weapon upgrade or a grenade yet, and are still using the default sniper squad as one of their 3 (no engineers unlocked yet) vs guys with 3-grenade packs and all 3-star weapons and 8 squad slots.
BR1 and BR5 should be closed systems. The rest can up/down tier around BR3.

From what I’ve seen and experienced, technically there’s nothing separating BR1 from BR3 anymore, and from BR3 you can easily end up in BR5. Yesterday was the only time I won a match in several days, and it was in BR5, but that’s mainly because my team was actually good; at least three of them were playing together as a group. In previous days, I simply hadn’t won anything, especially against the Soviets who have a glitched KV1 that gives them armor comparable to the Tiger. The game is simply in technical decline, or there aren’t as many players as you’d think. That’s why, unless it’s for the event, I play custom matches.
It affects even more which factions you play; the Allies are the strongest in BR1-2 due to the damage their weapons have and the spam of planes, the Soviets on the other hand currently have the invincible KV1 since it has a “bug” that gives them more armor than they should have
I always “play any” and haven’t noticed any specific slant to any nation. I tend to win more as Germany at br1/2 because i have more squads unlocked, and an extra slot, so more options than the others. Today i got WIPED by Germany while playing USA though. I had a BP daily task of “play 9 minutes” and didn’t even complete it in 1 game (invasion, defense). Just absolutely overpowered, and obviously a team. They would be nowhere to be seen for 30 seconds and then full squads raid the point from 4 directions at once and take it in 20 seconds or less. Definitely coordinated.
Teams shouldn’t be able to play against non teams, it’s such a massive advantage. Nevermind that console players don’t even have basic text chat while 4 guys on the other side have voice chat coordinating every move

I certainly think that several people started forming teams after the Soviets were heavily buffed; many of them are even clan members. I’ve witnessed that myself, and they’re definitely something else. It’s no surprise, since even the bots in our squads don’t really listen to us; technically, there’s no chance of winning.
I’ve been playing this since a year after its release and I can say that BR was never good for anything, especially after the merger which only made things worse.
On the other hand, I suspect the devs are hiding their numbers with bots using some kind of nickname generator to avoid detection. Either they’re bots with fancy names, or they’re new, or a mix of both, but finding a good player is like winning the lottery… Especially in BR5, which is where the skilled players should be, and it’s worse than BR2.
