Market

This proposal is intended for the Enlisted development team or their assistants.

This is a more polished version of my previous post about the idea of trading items between Enlisted players. My earlier post was quite raw and lacked detail. In this one, I have tried to describe everything as precisely as possible and without issues.

To describe my idea for Enlisted more accurately, I studied other Gaijin games, and in Crossout (which I played and was familiar with) I found a Market system where players could trade and sell parts of their vehicles for currency.

My idea is essentially that Enlisted should not be just one of thousands of similar shooters where there are only battles and progression, but that it should have broader interaction between players, including a market.

By the “Enlisted Market” I mean a platform in the game or on the website where players can list their items, squads, soldiers, and vehicles for gold, and other players can buy them. It could also be limited so that classic research tree items cannot be sold, leaving only items from Battle Passes and events, so that items on the market have real value and can only be obtained there.

Regarding currency and how a player can start trading if they have none: I mean gold as the currency, so the game can also earn money, while free-to-play players could first earn gold by selling their unique weapons on the market.

Premium players could also receive advantages on the market, such as reduced sales commissions (by commission I mean that 10% of the gold disappears when purchasing an item), or a discount when purchasing as a premium player.

In addition to the market, personal communication between players and trade requests could also be added.

To avoid balance issues (such as a rank 1 player wanting to buy a rank 5 weapon), a markup could be added for buying weapons above the player’s own level, or such trades could be completely restricted.

The market system will not break Enlisted. Using Crossout as an example, the game lives perfectly fine, and I even hear about Crossout players more often than Enlisted players, even though there are more WWII fans in my circles than post-apocalypse fans. Adding a Market to Enlisted could attract collectors and similar players, and make it so that most players, even at rank 5, do not just “finish” all of Enlisted and play only for events, but also engage in trading on the market, since the market is built by the players themselves.

Also, adding the ability to view inventories (unique items), communicate, and make individual deals could improve interaction between players and increase the scale of team play.

To prevent a situation where player A wants to sell a weapon to player B for 1 gold, a minimum price could be added using a formula like min = average(market) * 0.8 (a 20% reduction so players still see a point in personal trading compared to the global market).

P.S. Written by Mishagavrilin. I have been playing for several years, and overall for a very long time, since back when my father played. I would really like to contribute to the development of the game and see a market system like in Crossout.

Yeh but why would I ever get rid of my premiums, or unique no longer available squads, vehicles?

Yeah, because Enlisted really need collectors and hoarders who play only to get some sort of a profit out of it. Real smart.

Dear moderators, could you please add a poll? I can’t do it myself due to insufficient permissions. (To those who say not everyone wants to trade or sell squads: let me remind you that Crossout has a marketplace where everyone coexists peacefully, and no one is forced to use it.)

Okay, for example, Crossout has a market and nobody complains about it there. In Enlisted, every player has their own account with their own unique items, but what is the point of them besides battles with strangers where no one can look at your inventory, appreciate it, or offer to buy or sell something?
