We are giving a big change to the game- we are replacing the current linear campaign with a nonlinear one.
(It’s long, so read carefully to avoid misunderstandings)
In the current system, there are two sections in the upgrade tab of each squad: a blue(squad) and a red(soldier class) one. Now the red section will be deleted, along with the campaign levels.
(yellow section was deleted in No.6. Make sure to read No.6 first before continuing)
In this new system, the experience the soldiers receive is used in 4 different upgrades:
One, squad upgrade(the blue part) that we already have.
Two. soldier perk upgrade.
Three. Class upgrade: There will be 13 sections in the Class upgrade: rifleman, assaulter, machine gunner, AT gunner, sniper, engineer, flamethrower, mortarman, radio operator, rider tanker, attacker pilot, and fighter pilot.
All the experience earned by soliders of one class will go into the class upgrade. As you progress, you can increase the amount of experience the soldiers get, allow them to use pistols, make higher ranked soldiers available, and improve their abilities(vitality, weapon handling, etc). So, the ‘II’ and ‘III’ soldier classes will be gone. Don’t worry, we won’t take away your soldiers; they will stay. If you unlocked rifleman III, all the rifleman(I, II, and III) you have will become rifleman with abilities equivalent to rifleman III.
Four, weapon progress: This part is simple: use bolt-action rifles to get experience if you want to unlock a new rifle. And this applies to all weapon categories, which are bolt-action rifle, semi-automatic rifle, machine gun, sniper rifle, flamethrower, mortar, AT gun, tanks, attackers, and fighters.
As the campaign level is gone, we gathered the other equipment(pistols, melee weapons, bags, grenades, and mines) in one progress bar. The experience you get through pistol kills, melee kills, grenade kills, and mine kills will be added to the progress. You can buy melee weapons and pistols you unlocked via bronze orders.
The only experience that adds to the progress is what you get when killing enemy soldiers, tanks and planes. The experience you get through capturing zones won’t be included in weapon upgrades.
For example, there is a fighter pilot who took down a plane and a tank using his fighter. Then he jumps out of the plane and kills three soldiers with his submachine gun. Lastly, he exploded with an enemy tank using his explosive pack. In the old system, the fighter pilot’s experience would go into the squad upgrade and the campaign level upgrade. Let’s see how the new system works.
All the experience the fighter pilot gained will go into fighter pilot class upgrade.
Experience the pilot gained through his plane goes into the ‘fighter’ upgrade.
Experience the pilot gained through his submachine gun goes into the ‘submachine gun’ upgrade.
Experience the pilot gained through his explosive pack goes in the ‘other equipment’ upgrade
This new system will help you grind for what you really want.
As you need a soldier in one class in order to start grinding that class, all classes will be unlocked at the first level. From now on, new players won’t be forced to start with riflemen, snipers, and assaulters. You can be as creative as you want.
We know that you are worried about the balance if all classes are available at the first level. Please keep giving us feedback so that we can make a sweet spot for every class.
Enjoy the new system. Good luck, have fun!
