Each issue of our series focuses on a certain aspect of the game or a particular mechanic, in which we correct smaller, but noticeable bugs and add new interesting features.
Weapons? Updated!

Machine guns and mobility. Two things that are hard to combine: partly because of the weight of these weapons and also because of their devastating power. Many of you have tried the Browning .303 (Japan, Battle Pass) and the Browning 1919A4 (USA, Research) and concluded that using their bipods or going prone with them is extremely inconvenient. Starting with this update, you’ll be able to fire from the hip even while moving, but of course, this is still not an easy feat, so your movement speed will be reduced to a slow walk and as for the accuracy … well, the tracers might prove to be useful.
We have also revised the characteristics of a number of machine guns:
- Type 99 LMG: BR III → II, Sprint factor 55% → 60%, Aiming speed multiplier 0.3 → 0.45.
- Bren Mk I, Bren Mk II, Vickers-Berthier, Besal (Event): Sprint factor 50% → 60%, Aiming speed multiplier 0.3 → 0.45.
- Browning M1919A6: Sprint factor 45% → 55%, Aiming speed multiplier 0.24 → 0.35, Base rate of fire 500 → 550.
- Madsen: Sprint factor 50% → 65%, Aiming speed multiplier 0.3 → 0.5.
- MG 81: Aiming speed multiplier 0.25 → 0.3.
Use your increased mobility to gain an upper hand!
But we did not stop at machine guns, other weapon classes have received fine tuning too, such as bolt-action and semi-automatic rifles:
- M1917 Enfield: BR II → I.
- Type 99 sniper rifle: Base rate of fire 52 → 58.
- Gewehr 41, Sniper Gewehr 41 (Premium): Reload time 4.8 → 4.1.
- Gewehr 41 (M) (Premium): Reload time 4.5 → 3.9.
- Type 4 rifle: Reload time 4 → 3.7.
- Armaguerra Mod. 39: Reload time 3.2 → 2.5, Base rate of fire 320 → 370.
- M1 Carbine, M1A1 Carbine: Ammo count 15/60 → 15/105.
Submachine guns have also had their characteristics adjusted:
- PPSh-41, PPSh-41 Parkerized (Premium), MP-717(r) (Legacy): Base shots deviation 82 → 62.
- PP Shpitalniy-1940 (Battle Pass): Shots deviation 61 → 46.
- MP 40: Base rate of fire 500 → 550.
- MP 40/1 (Premium), MP 40 silenced (Event): Rate of fire 570 → 630.
- M1 Thompson: Base shots deviation 88 → 53.
- M1 Thompson (S) (Premium): Shots deviation 75 → 45.
- Tokyo Arsenal SMG: Base shots deviation 70 → 56.
Finally, the armor penetration of the Sturmpistole has been increased from 70 mm to 80 mm.
It’s the perfect time to update your arsenals and test these changes yourself!
Shall we take a ride with additional fire support?

The “Off-road patrol” update introduced off-road vehicles to the game. In this update, we’ve improved some of their characteristics:
- GAZ-64 DS-39: Maximum elevation of the machine gun 10° → 25°.
- Kübelwagen 82: Maximum elevation of the machine gun 10° → 20°.
- Type 95 Kurogane: Maximum elevation of the machine gun 5° → 25°, Reload time 3.8 → 1.5.
- Willys M1919A4: Maximum elevation of the machine gun 10° → 25°.
- Willys M2HB (Event): Maximum elevation of the machine gun 5° → 20°, Ammunition changed to Armor-Piercing Incendiary Tracer rounds.
Willys jeeps can drive around without fuel tanks! At least, that’s what you could have thought when looking at their x-ray models before this update. Not anymore, now you’ll be able to find them!
The P-39Q-5 no longer counts as an attacker aircraft when you try to use it and the Type 11 machinegun on the Type 97 “Rikuo” motorcycle now also reloads in just a second and a half!
Furthermore, the fuel amount selection for aircraft has become more convenient. The default is now 50% and the setting is saved between battles. On a controller, the amount now can be changed by using the D-pad and the squad selection has been reassigned to the LB/RB/L1/R1 buttons again.
Game mode adjustments

We’ve improved a number of rules across three mission modes! Let’s start with “Conquest”. The time it takes to capture and to neutralize a point has been increased by 5 seconds, but don’t worry, the battles won’t become longer, just more action-packed, because we’ve also moved the spawn points closer to the capture points. The changes affect the following missions: Munda Trail, New Georgia, Tractor Plant, Gavutu, Mountain pass, Rzhev: Left Bank and Guadalcanal Coast.
In case of the “Assault” mode, we’ve rebalanced the capture time, the reinforcement point count and the additional points when capturing sectors. Also, the defending side now loses immediately once they run out of reinforcements.
In “Confrontation” mode, once a team has used up their reinforcement points, the countdown timer no longer resets, but simply pauses while someone from that team is at the capture point. This prevents situations where both teams, with no points, could constantly refresh the timer when fighting over a point.
The following mission-related changes are also worth noting:
- Fixed the increased reinforcement point cost of spawning in “The Reich Chancellery (Confrontation)” mission, it’s now in line with other missions.
- Fixed the missing score for planting, detonating or defusing a bomb when an AI soldier from the player’s squad performed the action.
- Improved the battle areas in a number of missions.
- Fixed the floating objects in the “Kahif cave village” section of Tunisia.
Other changes
That’s not all! There are also fixes and improvements that did not fit into the categories above:
- Fixed a bug where upgrades for newly acquired event squads were not reflected in the menu until the game was restarted. For example, the maximum level of soldiers appeared to be 4 instead of 5. Now squad upgrades take effect immediately upon receiving a squad.
- Corrected the terminology in the shop for premium squads to correctly say level 4 soldiers instead of rank 4.
- Removed the “BR of the battle:” text from the “Start” button when the Training or Practice game modes are selected.
- Disabled the voice chat in groups that were formed by the “Group is recruiting” feature. In pre-made groups, voice chat still works as before.
- Changed how shader cache works while using DirectX 12: removed preloading, which could cause long loading times on startup.
- Fixed a bug on Steam Deck and Linux that could cause the game to freeze after returning from a minimized state while the Steam overlay was enabled.
- In the mod editor, pressing Shift while trying to move an item no longer creates a clone of it with the same ID.
- In the mod editor, the drop-down lists of the ADD OBJECT VALUE and ADD ARRAY VALUE no longer appear behind the pop-up window.
- Mods with outdated navmesh versions no longer cause a crash.
