Making Enlisted a Better Place №74

I think Enlisted does a great job with content update. I will still give them extreme high praise for the Burma maps. I lived close to the border and that particular style is well represented in that part of Thailand. In fact some of the details remind me of Thai historical movie sets from [the King Nassakorn](King Naresuan (film) - Wikipedia that I lived about 45 minutes from. I have to find my pictures but I am about 50% certain its where they got the details from. One of those guys had to be a SE Asian Historical film buff to be so exact with some of the details.

They also have to monetize the game because that is business, the chests were not bad and I was not happy about them being included but in the end the the small amount of money spent was not bothersome at all because those slots also use event squads.

There are only so many things they can do. Chat would be really helpful. But the new damage updates look great. The game he is asking us not to talk about is different. I got it actually because a Enlisted Youtuber posted a video about it comparing the two. Would seem kind of weird banning a thread if someone started a Messroom post about comparing WW2 games. News thread I can understand they want to control the narrative. But opinion in the mess room should be an open discussion on things.

At the end of the day the Devs do a fine job, some things are annoying for sure but the overall experience is really good. Just simple quality of life fixes. They do address them. Chat I am not sure what the excuse is. I cannot even comment about a game that no longer exists and was a WW2 online PVP FPS that had pre, post, squad, messaging, CC: messaging, even different colored designations (Enlisted at least improved on that element) Enlisted does things a 100x better than that game did, they could just nick a feature two to vastly improve Enlisteds playability., game quality of life is the term I think.

I play Join any 2 BR3 and 2 BR 5’s it is supposed to give me access to every map. The map selection system is flawed. You can create your own but don’t get any points. But with those selections the content is staggering. 100’s of weapons. There are 25+ maps? USvJAP,GER GERvsUS,USSR JAP vs USSR/US. Multiple theatres they actually have created a lot of content. Also add in events, play events, April Fools, Holloween. I think they try enough that is not the issue. Chat is my biggest gripe. Removing the gold orders is my absolute reason to have any kind disappointment with the game. They don’t force me to buy squads, or gold boxes. The second one I was pissed about as well but in the end thought it was reasonable and a comparative value that needed some tweeks. It is model building in the digital age. There use to be a really great hobby doing WW2 models. Revel, Tamiya etc, etc, their niche was unique historical models. People loved them. I actually got a sweet diorama Airfix Normandy invasion set at a thirt store. It was like Enlisted the board game.

Is there any plan to tweak a bit the weapons in the Tech Tree? Since the matchmaking for BR2 shifted from the BR1–3 range to BR2–3/4, some adjustments or improvements would be welcome; if there isn’t going to be new gear added to the tree, there should at least be a buff. Reducing the vertical recoil of the KE7 and increasing the damage of the Type 96 would be a great step forward for Japan, given its 12-point damage, the Type 96 is better suited for BR2, especially considering there are three machine guns at BR3 but none of them truly good enough compared to the M1918 or DP-27.

Indeed a good choice. Weird being so programmed into the buttons on one that they do something different on the other. But, yeah very good experience, reminded me of a lot of different WW2 game concepts from the past, present and future. Again, well worth a discussion but the mod can be temperamental and I do not want to ask if we are not allowed to compare any games period or just on News threads.

PM If you have a steamID.

I’m not temperamental at all. But the news threads are not the place to be discussing other games. I made my point in my earlier post, but I maybe didn’t make it clear… You’re free to discuss other games in the PMs, but not in the forum, and certainly not in a news thread.

Remember, this forum is about Enlisted. Let’s keep it that way.

Looks like you have your work cut out for you. Since it is not open for debate the rule is “Do not discuss any game” but Enlisted on any Forum correct? Where would I be able to find that specific rule in the TOS?

I am confused by this.

“but not in the forum, and certainly not in a news thread.”

So are you saying it to me personally outside of the published rules?

1. The Mess Room & Off-Topic Board

On the official Enlisted Forum, off-topic discussions—including threads about other video games, military history, or software—are primarily located in the Mess Room section.

  • Where to find it: Enlisted Forum $$rightarrow Mess Room
  • Gaijin’s Moderation Policy: Mentioning other Gaijin-published games (or non-Gaijin shooters like Hell Let Loose, SQUAD, or Battlefield) is permitted in off-topic channels as long as it adheres to community guidelines (no direct advertising, toxicity, or breaking NDA).

What I did find actually answers that other guys Churchill question but not the forum.

Lol. You really got into that, didn’t you…

Calm down. Relax. Take a breath!

By the way, most of your so-called evidence snapshots are threads from years ago. And aren’t relevant to the current conversation, so they’re all moot. Try harder.

A post from more than five years ago isn’t relevant anymore? How shocking indeed. The newest just barely six months old. It’s almost brand new

No, not at all. I agree 100% on a news post no reason to mention another game. I literally says that right after you first mention it. I am pointing out if you are saying “no” posting anywhere on any forum. Nothing less, nothing more. I just provided facts so I do not get anymore bans, seems pretty simple if you says its a rule and I am confused as to is that is true on the “mess hall” If you think it is more complex than that, nothing I can do about that other than ask about posting about other IPs and showing numerous examples. Not starting a fight, just asking you to clarify if the stated published policy is wrong and you are right. IE Who is lying both statements cannot be correct. So are you correct and they are lying? Is that what you statement means? Easy to answer the question, nothing to do with your feelings.

If you say its trying hard “sure”! Did you not say LOKALHERO SAID " You’re free to discuss other games in the PMs, but not in the forum, and certainly not in a news thread." Yet, you got to make it personal. Sorry, not playing the ban game with you anymore.

TOS Forum rules say

I did not want to bother higher ups to resolve the conflict of statement without giving you a chance to validate your " You’re free to discuss other games in the PMs, but not in the forum, and certainly not in a news thread." No bold, no red, no highlighting just your statement in quotes.

The people we pay money too and develop the game

One flaw that has lured in the game for years and it annoys a lot when it happens. It is the squad command marker, that just does not show up on screen or map. That green crossmark that shows where you pin your squad. It is a fundamental mechanism in this game, and if it bugs out and does not show up, it really confuses and saddens.

This crossmark bug happens quite rarely. Maybe once every other match. Build some kind of test automation case that digs out the root cause for it and fix it once and for all!

It turns out this is a bug. I assumed markers would vanish automatically after repeated pings. This problem first appeared after a certain game update

It’s nice to say that you’re listening to the players, but the forum suggests otherwise.
I haven’t heard anything, though, about how you’re addressing the bigger issues.

The “favoritism” toward the allies , mainly USSR, is noticeable, and I’m apparently not the only one who’s saying or seeing this. Servers with terrible latency that are usually populated by bots with a few “human” players (GER) versus console players, laggers, aim-assist users, and almost always the usual hacker (Allies). Multiple bullets fired point-blank into the back—no damage—an HE shell right next to the feet—no damage; Allies can fall from a height and keep moving, presumably due to latency, while the Germans apparently can’t. Airstrikes either don’t come at all or arrive way too late. Sometimes a wounded player crawls faster than the tanks can drive. The events are a nightmare because you have to hit each enemy a certain number of times to get the kill (even with one-shot-kill weapons). Why can’t we choose event prizes from all weapons—including those no longer available—from a single faction, instead of you guys deciding the prizes?

So all that crap results in—for me, and I’m probably not the only one—high desertion rates. I don’t understand how a game from 2003 has features like map voting, in-game team and voice chat, server chat, and voice chat, but Enlisted doesn’t? How is this possible, or are you guys perhaps waiting for suggestions from the community that you’ll then completely ignore?? You charge a lot of money for squads—is it too much to ask to play on DECENT servers??? Why don’t you invest in more and better servers with admin and latency limits??

I guess you don’t give a damn, since some of these issues have apparently been requested and reported here for several years now, and you refuse to take action.

MONEY FIRST AS USUAL.

Tree destruction is nice, but i dont like the fact that the issue of tanks being able to penetrate 5-20 walls of CONCRETE is not fixed… literal sniping in my opinion with unfair advantage, Enemy tanks spawn at secured spawn area and start sniping whatnot without limitation even with troop cover…

Shouldn’t tank cannons and HMG’s destroy trees? Please add a mechanic that will let us cut a tree in half with those weapons instead of absorbing damage like a sponge.

Does anyone else find that whenever they use XP boosters, they end up in uptiers? Lately, it happens a lot: I activate a booster and, for some reason, wind up in matches against higher BRs—especially 85mm T-34s and PPSh-45s. I also find it really annoying and persistent that tank bots prioritize the machine gunner position over the loader or—even more critically—the gunner. On top of that, since the last update, BR 1 and 2 have practically disappeared and been completely mixed in with BR 3; seeing BR 1/2 squads get wiped out by M1918s and TKBs is pretty common lately. Furthermore, Germany is currently the only faction without a decent AT weapon at BR 2—even the Soviets have the M1 Bazooka. Shouldn’t the Germans get the Panzerfaust 30 at BR 2, as well as a better semi-auto? As for Japan, they need the Type 4 semi-auto buffed and the Type 96’s damage increased, or else it should be moved down to BR 2.

They do it occasionally, but generally, even machine guns don’t destroy the bushes on the map that block visibility; as for grenades, I think they should be able to destroy barbed wire, just like TNT packs.

WT gets regular optimization updates every few days with transparent communication. In Enlisted, players wait a month or more for improvements, and major problems get ignored.
Glitches including unreliable sprint, tank vision blockages and movement jitter have existed for years. The impassable invincible planks on Normandy remain unfixed. It feels like devs only rely on trivial events to keep players engaged, leaving me pessimistic about the game’s outlook.

It’s strange. Whenever I activate XP boost cards, I often feel like I get thrown into unfairly tough matches, as if the server deliberately queues me against harder opposition to limit my earnings. It feels like Anton doesn’t want players to farm too much silver.

Machine gun balance is already a notable issue, but there’s an even worse bug. When only one crew member remains in a tank, the system forces you into the driver’s seat and locks you there for several seconds, leaving you helpless waiting to die.

BR1 has lost its proper boundaries. It should be locked off as a protected zone for newcomers. Even veteran players cannot dominate easily within this bracket.

Regarding the Soviet TKB weapons: players could earn two TKB rifles in the previous event, meaning a maximum of four TKBs per account. That statistic is fairly extreme, so overall ownership numbers are likely quite low.

When it comes to German BR2 armament, the German semi-automatic selection is extremely outdated. The Soviets already have the Fedorov 15 available, so Germany deserves new semi-automatic options too.
Suggestions for the Panzerfaust 15, a German BR2 anti-tank weapon, have been submitted, yet they have never been approved. Perhaps the outsourced modelling team hasn’t finished the assets yet.

Nearly all viable magazine-fed semi-automatic rifles for Japan at BR3 have been locked behind battle passes and are no longer obtainable. It’s incredibly difficult to get any magazine-fed Japanese semi-auto. Locking these weapons behind passes was short-sighted. Now Japan lacks decent semi-automatic rifles.
Germany’s BR2 semi-auto predicament is similar to Japan’s. Its best weapons like the Steyr X and 5-round Pavesi are locked behind paywalls. Both are far better than regular semi rifles. I had to purchase them to maintain viable firepower. No one would bother using German BR2 semi-autos without these premium arms
I believe the Type 96 and Type 99 Japanese machine guns should receive optical sights to improve their usability.

Even so, Pacific maps create bigger frustrations. Numerous issues with shallow water zones make gameplay unpleasant.
