Make The Permission To Create Polls Universal

I’ve seen way too many posts from people who aren’t as active on the forum making suggestions and unable to create polls. This never used to be a problem, however, since polls are now mandatory for any suggestion, I believe it’s important that even new users have the ability to create a simple yes/no poll like this one.

Higher trust-level users shouldn’t have to create polls for those who can’t and those who can’t shouldn’t have to worry about their suggestion being shut down because they didn’t add something they can’t create. Currently the only solution is to be more active and post an unknown amount of replies and likes to topics, but I believe all voices deserve to heard regardless of how active on the forum they are.

Besides, to post on the forum you have to play the game at least once a week. So at least they are up to date with all the current issues in the game anyway.

Should we give any trust level the ability to create polls? I believe editing and deleting posts should be kept to the higher trust levels, but something mandatory like this should be a given.

Fresh users can absolutely create polls, so long as they’re put in a specific suggestions category. It isn’t intuitive, unfortunately, but it is what it is.

New users can’t edit their posts. That’s the difference. Thankfully, there are plenty of users here who will reply to a new user’s suggestion thread with a poll. This usually prevents the thread from being closed.

It’s designed to prevent spam, and for the most part, it works. And it doesn’t take much action to increase trust levels, so really, it isn’t that much of an issue.

Fair enough. I was just under the impression they couldn’t. I’ll probably just close the suggestion then.
