The Ha-Go in game isn’t good by any metric, easily beating out all other competition for the spot of worst tank. However, there is a small buff that can be given to this tank that probably won’t do much to make it usable, but could make it a bit more fun in the right conditions. The in game model of the Ha-Go is modeled after a rarer presumably field modified version that used a hull mounted Type 100 flamethrower.
Standard Ha-Go
In-game Ha-Go
Below is the photo of a Ha-Go with the type 100 flamethrower in the hull, presumably what the in game version was modeled after. The photo was taken late 1945, surrendering to Australians in New Britain, Papua New Guinea.
Should the Ha-Go have the hull mounted Type 100 flamethrower work?
What about the M3 Stuart with a flamethrower? I don’t think anybody has ever called that ‘a bit much’, just a fun sidegrade to the normal M3. And you would have to be delusional to think that by simply giving the Ha-Go a flamethrower, it would become too powerful for BR1.
It shouldn’t have to give up either, I see no reason to change the shells to either tank. The M3 Satan trades the hull MG for the flamethrower, and the Ha-Go’s bad enough as is it doesn’t need a nerf.
ap and saphe are not on the same planet as aphe and he
so yes either the stuart needs better shells or the ho-go needs worse
yes it hes better armor and a slightly better crew but it is also easier to hit and can be penned easily by any ammo of the ho-go which i though was all that matter lol
the ho-ho with he can kill infantry with its cannon or mg or in this case flamethrower something the flamethrower stuart cannot do
At the very least the hull MG should be controllable by the commander. Its the only tank in game where you have to manually swap to the MG gunner to use it. Its already one of the worst tanks in the game.
the ha go can barely pen any tank at all like the front of the Stuart. Also they could just nerf the damage of the flamethrower to make it balanced. It would also give japan something unique since Japan is lacking a lot of things in terms of firepower. (like how they don’t have aumpolents)
