Playing this game as the european axis is a soulcrushing experience because around every 9 matches out of 10,you are defending.and against the western allies,defending is not fun at all,CAS spam,which to counter requires you to waste time sitting in an AA gun or fighter getting you significantly less score than normally playing,rifle grenades,calliopes,and the stupid capture time which still hasnt been changed you cant do anything.so let the ratio for attacking and defending be 50/50,because getting CAS’d into oblivion 90% of the time is what no player wants.

Capture times are all equal now, although I would thoroughly enjoy it if ticket counts and capture time were both increased to make longer games

I must disagree with the not fun part:
Most USA faction pilots suck, and are numerous. They’re really fun to hunt down with a pure fighter (no bombs, just tailored for air supremacy)
But I get the ratio of offense defense coild be even. However, isn’t the case already??? I think it’s random…

I’ve been playing Germany recently and it’s been about 50 -50 I think. If anything I’ve attacked more to be fair.
I even had a D-Day where the axis attacked - like D-Day in reverse.
I though they hadnt changed it yet,my bad
But thats the thing,the CAS planes avalible to the US make it to where skill dosnt really matter,P38,AP5,AP 4C,P47,all those braindead planes are just fire off rockets,drop ordanance if any,suicide or go back to rearm and wipe the enemy team again.and being in a plane or AA gun just wastes valuable time getting score on the objective while getting measly score from keeping your teamates alive.and ive played primarily germany post merge,and around 80-90 percent of the games ive played have been defending against the western allies.

If there is no one else to do the job, and your team can do what they need to without you, then you should devote that extra minute or two to end the major threat. In your situations, CAS
Personally, I LOVE killing tanks. I’ll prioritize deleting enemy armor over objective every chance I get. Depriving the enemy of nice things is my favorite thing to do
Helping your team winning the match > sucking up all the objective points like a glutton

That’s with bad pilots. Good pilots will play differently. I used those very same cas planes to great effect against axis planes! You just need to be careful and not try to out turn them.
If that fails, then, Spitfire or Tempest. The Corsair is good enough too.
P-47 is so popular because its so easy to use. Anyone can get some score in.
Because its so easy, you find every average joe flying it, which in turn makes them easy targets and easy score for a fighter pilot
Shooting down an aircraft awards you the highest score out of any action, and if you are defending you are bleeding tickets for every kill. Very hard to outscore a fighter pilot who has a contstant supply of targets

what BR are you at right now? I’m at BR 2 as allies and I’ve noticed the same thing. We are usually fighting the axis on offense (except we usually lose because we are having an influx of noobs who don’t know how to play the game properly)
Its both ques, BR 1 and 2 as well as BR 4 and 5 are the same for me.and at high BR its unbearable with the CAS spam
