According to devs there are plans to increase amount of so called “minor” nations representation in the game while we still have huge gaps in major sub-factions content. And there are no plans to fill these gaps and bring back legacy squads into research tree
We’ll continue expanding representation of other WWII-participating nations through special event and premium squads - just as we’ve already done with France, China, Morocco, New Zealand, and others. This way, we can introduce historically grounded units and equipment from countries whose documented WWII arsenals are more focused or specialized, helping us avoid equipment repetition while keeping authenticity high. We’re reviewing several candidates for this approach, such as Canadian units, but these are very early explorations.
I suggest a solution to this problem by increasing frequency of sub-faction themed Reinforcements received, Trial by Combat or any special operation events where players be able to obtain legacy squad, vehicle or weapon. These events must be regular and repetitive. Players who already have squad should be awarded a chest instead.
