Make shotguns more useful

I would like to propose that some of the shotguns in game get a small buff. For starters, making both the toz and drilling reload both chambers similar to the sawed off shotgun. Also decrease the pellet dispersion by about 10% across the board, the toz and drilling could get a 15% due to them being considered a hunting shotgun. Another thing to add would be the third barrel on the drilling and the possibility of using both barrels on the toz and sawn off.

That I feel should be a universal feature to all double barrels in game, not just the sawed off pistol.

I feel like this should also apply to the Drilling. We may never get the third barrel, but if we hold the mouse down and it shoots both barrels in quick succession, I will be content.

Honestly, i would take any buff they could get at the moment to make them play better.

They could also give us the ability to choose between buckshots and slugs, that would be a nice buff. And also give use the ability to switch to the third barrel on the Drilling.

After playing BF6 beta with its OP shotgun, entering a room in a Max Payne dive and delivering several one shots to wipe a whole swuad of real players…

To come back to Enlisted qnd struggle to tickle a bot with a shotgun

They could also increase the damage per pellet a little bit as well. Another thing i forgot to mention would be giving m1912 its bayonet.

I’d rather have underpowered shotguns than toxic shotguns.

I’ve never seen an FPS game that had well balanced shotguns. They’re always either jokes or pure no skill toxicity

I don’t think anyone is calling for shotguns to essentially be a sniper rifle. They are designed for close quarters so they need to perform that decently, at a minimum. While i don’t think we’ll ever get ammo options like slugs, making sure that they perform within their limitations is a must. Everytime i come onto the forum, there’s someone saying that this or that will make this obsolete. We just want them to be usable, with the little gimmicks that each would have in reality.

Since distances in Enlisted are extremely scaled down, cqc can be considered 10 metres max. While 100 metres is huge distance in context of Enlisted.

Typical buckshot hits in about the same diameter of a dinner plate at 30m, or about chest sized if wherever your from has weird dinner plates. So that should be about the point of damage drop off at the the very least. Now i will say i don’t know the specifics of the shells used then, but i do know that x12 8mm pellets to the chest moving over 1000 fps will hurt

Real life distances have nothing to do with Enlisted.

Ok, real life characteristics of all guns in the game have no say in how they perform. Have fun with all the guns being bastardized to feel the same with .32 acp hitting just as hard as a 7.62x25

Winchester 1887 is OP shot gun in game at now. all shot gun in research tree need rework same this gun

The M1912 in the tree is the riot gun version, it doesn’t have a bayonet lug, so it is accurate. But I think that putting the trench gun version (the one with the bayonet lug) in the tree would make more sense, instead of the riot gun version we have right now.

give the double barrel shotguns an “alternative” fire mode of burst fire and set the RPM something stupidly high and presto, you got a seamless double barrel blast

You’re right, I wasn’t looking at the in game model when I posted that. It could be a side upgrade foldered in.
