When planes spawn in, they are generally going pretty fast and most new flyers will see they are heading in right direction not realizing their speed is well over control limits and they crash.
The way this can be improved is a default game setting to half the speed they spawn in at, so if they still head towards the point, the likelihood of nose diving into ground will be much less.
Before the flying vets complain, this could be a setting we could turn off, as sometimes enemy planes are flying in our spawn zone and we need the energy to fight.
I have grouped up with new players, who I have tried to teach how to fly and 90percent don’t reduce throttle, see the plane is heading in approx right direction to target and simply continue at spawn speed so overspeed, controls stiffen and boom!
it is assumed that the aircraft is entering the combat area, and has the throttle at 50% or 70% not even 90% if it spawns more slowly a new player at the first maneuver crashes due to lack of speed, the initial spawn speed is correct as well as the throttle
When, I begun Enlisted, after some playing time, I got a plane, tried it in battle, crashed a few seconds after without knowing I was crashing. After the battle, I looked for a tutorial to learn how to fly and saw nothing.
So after a few more missed tries, I don’t want to hear anymore about planes and want to get them kicked off the game as soon as possible. Because an exploding bomb every ten seconds on a battlefield (and that happens quite often) is totally unfair and makes it unplayable. Especially when you don’t understand how it works, that nothing can help you and that the other team has two planes and know how to use those.
