Current Soft map ban system doesnt seem to work. I get maybe 20% less of a current map. In preference system for example where i have basically every conquest map banned - I ROUTINELY can que into 3+ Conquest maps in a row. HOW???
This makes for a frustrating gaming experience, constant match quitting - since map preference system doesnt seem to actually do anything, and bad player feel esp when losing boosters. I dont mind waitng tiny bit longer to ACTUALLY GET A PREFFERED MAP.
I think for this system to make any sense, we need to first disable rating penalties and negative experience boosters if a player leaves a map that’s on the non-preferred list. And probably keep the booster if a player leaves this kind of battle earlier than 30 seconds into the battle.
Tbf the devs never stated (I think) that the system bans maps. That is why they called it preference system like some legal limbo.
So technically, it “just works”.
