Should XP boosters have the expiration dates removed?

In the wake of some exploiters abusing XP boosts recently, a quite dissapointing announcement was made that stated from now on, XP will be capped to 500%. This means that when the silver box returns and if someone buys a large amount, the large amount of boosters they would inevitability get that could normally be spent in a few matches with incredible rewards from the possibly multi thousand percent booster, would now have to be broken up into much smaller boosters that can only be used three at a time. This would make a huge backlog of smaller boosters like 50 and 75% boosters that make up the majority, and many would expire in the short time they are given from the pure quantity of them. Therefore, I propose removing the time limit of these boosters.

Regarding your idea, I would have voted yes without hesitation, but another idea came to me: simply log in, collect the bonuses, and then not play.

You accumulate them and play as soon as the bonus reaches a very high level.

If you have another viable idea besides reducing the power of the bonuses or limiting their number per game, I’ll change my vote to yes, comrade!

Yeah, it sucks now that it’ll be capped. If you didn’t read the news post, some people abused XP boosters somehow in custom games and DF decided to punish everyone by limiting it instead of just removing XP boosters in custom games :roll_eyes:

Oh dear, the French administration is going to be jealous of this performance :rofl::rofl::rofl:, in short, they should have banned the use of boosts in custom games instead of doing this.

In fact, custom games without mods with a certain number of players can yield as much as normal games, except that all players know each other, and the maneuver is simple: all enemy players gather at one point, then each player takes turns bombing, generating tons of casualties for maximum experience gain.

Oh rite i get it. I Thought i was doing something bad cos I generally save the boosts to use on a graveyard shift game at like 4am (after several drinkiepooos ofc) where the match is live 1 v 1 and its a bot smash fest and a great payday, like when that glitch happened and got 2200% bonus and again with the loot boxes before the pitifull last loot boxes. Didnt see that as an exploit just opportune to make the max from the boosts. So i better use my 425% so far then and not wait for the xtra 100% from.the BP cos it would be 525 in total and i would only get 500?? ( ikr, i can do math… like 1+4 voddies n coke = me not in the sweet spot yet) xxx

That’s called opportunism, and even if it’s legal, there are penalties (not in the strictest sense).

For example, you find a flamethrower; if there’s ammunition, you’re going to use it, right?

Well, with the current system, thinking things through and being opportunistic are impossible.

Sometimes you wonder if they want skilled players or idiots.

I want to keep.expiry dates, just dont want this capping at 500% shenanigans. If debate is on keep expiries now, answer still yes. I have a busy busy life and sometimes i cant play, i just log in to get the streak and thats it. Needs me beauty sleep at times xxx

Why not simply disable the ability to use xp boosters in casual matches?! Boom problem.fixed. easy xxx

That’s what I don’t get.

I have a busy life too. Would be MUCH more convenient for boosters to NOT have expiration dates, be permanent until used?!

So when you cannot play, your boosters won’t just disappear?

… I just find that NOT wanting convenient things and choosing instead inconvenient ones deliberately to be strange…

Dude, the cap system is already in place! The proposal is precisely because it caps the amount; there’s no longer a deadline for compensation!
