Make an "Attention" Marker if certain controls don't have a keybind, goes away when its scrolled over

It’s come to my attention that most Playstation players are unaware that with the current DEFAULT controls, there is no “mark/ping” button.

here has been an update 6 month ago which disabled the original mapping for marking.it was L2+up. i m a user of the forum so i saw it quickly and did the mapping myself. but maybe new users don’t know about it and the mapping is disabled.but i remember that i was unable to mark during 3 days or more.

Both when players are starting out, as well as when they change controls, major controls like this, shoot, aim, etc. need to pop up with an indicator that something is amiss. If they scroll over it for a few moments, it will remove the warning. Similar to how the game lets you know if you have a superior weapon for a soldier in storage.

It would really help out especially new players to the game, and as the game is growing, that is important.

Interesting idea with warning icon. There are actually a lot of functions on console with unassigned buttons.

At the same time, as an owner of the Playstation 4, I assure you that now there are button for “marking” - it is pressing (not holding) R1 on default controls.

yes exactly now i remember.it was aftet the update introducing binoculars.the current mapping on ps5 is not very practical
