Should the M9E2 (or any future domestic BR IV US/UK AT weapon) fully replace the Ofenrohr in the US tech tree?

It’d be a nice step towards making the factions feel more unique when 3/4 aren’t using the same AT weapon, especially since there are no BR5 AT weapons so it’s 2 BRs for all of them.

The Panzerfaust 60 travels at 45m/s, after being fired.

The M9E2 with T59 rockets travel at 124m/s after being fired.

That’s much better than the Panzerfaust 60. Will it struggle to front-pen the Tiger 2…? Yes, but that’s no reason to not add a AT option for the US that isn’t another captured weapon.

Something doesn’t have to be objectively superior to the Ofenrohr to get into the same BR… one might say that the Ofenrohr is the highest limit, and anything greater should be BR V instead.

I use Panzerfaust100 over RPzB
After praftice you can hit anything within 200m, and you can sprint with it

I belive soldier at front will more othen see a captured RPzB than a rare experimental bazooka

if KT didnt exist in german TT, i would totally agree with replacing ofenrohr with m9e2. but cause KT is turtle that m9e2 wont penetrate frontally, i disagree with replacing it unless there is better alternative.

They should remove the Ofenrohr and replace it with this. They should also automatically replace any currently owned ofenrohrs with this

Isn’t the new rocet launcher they got similar to an ofenrohr? If so, that could be the replacement.

Yeah, that’s why I wasn’t trying to advocate to REPLACE the Ofenrohr.

I would only want the Ofenrohr removed if the T24 or T74 (super bazooka) was added at BR 5 as well, with 254+mm of pen.

I agree with the notion that it would probably be a bad idea for this thing to wholesale replace the Ofenrohr due to its low penetration.

Really love the domestic bazooka as i would finally upgrade from the M9 bazooka as using the German bazooka doesn’t look right at all and i would like Japan to also lose the ofenrohr however only when a suitable rocket lancher or AT weapon is found.

And to those saying no because it can’t front pen tiger 2… Why are you fighting a tiger 2 head on as a infantry man? Get a tank or a plane if its so far in the back greyzoning that you can’t even find a side angle to hit it from.

However a suitable slight non-historical buff that could be give to appease those concerns would be giving it a even 180mm of pen to maybe 190mm’s. Anything past asking to much i feel as we get closer to a fantasy game.
