All y’all don’t like getting smoked by my rotating tank setups, eh?
I am guessing you mean the area between the hull and the gun mantlet not the entire box an area just bigger than the shell, and the coupila. No, just no when the entire tank is a kill area for german tanks.
Now show me the area on a 105 any german tank can hit and kill it from the front. It better be as close to tiny as the 105s kill area. Its like the people that say but you can hit the mg gun port barley bigger than the shell.
I’ve seen this tank several times in BR 4 and 5; at long range, its armor is still effective against Tiger Is and Panthers and sometimes even the Tiger II, depending on the angle and positioning. Now, imagine running into this tank while using a Ho-I in BR 2-3; if it’s already tough against a Sherman II, this tank is literally indestructible at BR 3. Its capabilities are comparable to the BR 4 Tiger I and the IS-1, so BR 4 makes the most sense.
By the way, does anyone know if the Chi-Nu II can destroy it from the front?
63 and 76 mm against an 88mm are you high and can I have some
Are you referring to the armor or the penetration capability?
Pen a sherman is like a screen door to an 88mm
I was referring specifically to the why the M4A3 105mm should be BR4, regarding the toughness of the M4 Sherman II, I meant that it is a difficult opponent for Japanese tanks. If an early version like the BR2 is already that tough, just imagine how hard it is for Japanese tanks and infantry to face it in BR2-3, especially on Pacific maps.
My comparison of the M4A3 with other vehicles is based on the fact that its performance is similar to other BR4s; I’m not saying it’s stronger than the Tiger II and if facing it is a problem, it is because the matchmaking, not the vehicle itself. Panthers have powerful guns, sure, but are they immune to the 90mm and 122mm guns of BR5? It’s the same story with the KV-1: it is ABSURDLY tough, and its gun is powerful enough to destroy any Axis tank at BR2-3 with a single shot, yet it would be considered “too weak” for BR4, much like saying that the Nashorn is indestructible simply because it has an 88mm gun
That’s just insulting an entire playerbase without offering a single argument. If you’ve got a real issue with American BR4, explain it constructively otherwise this adds nothing and violates the forum’s rules on keeping feedback constructive.
BR 4 America isn’t as bad as it used to be, I’d argue it’s more fun than ever with the new toys we got in the last few months. If it ran separate from BR 5 it would be pretty solid even then it’s still playable.
Thanks, as a KV2 player I would also love to know the overpressure points of the Tiger 2 (H) and Tiger 2 (P)
If it’s the same BR tank, 75mm L/48 gun from Panzer 4 will be able to penetrate it but if the distance is great enough then even with that gun(Which considered to be a good gun even on BR 3 standard)you wouldn’t be able to penetrate Sherman 105mm at all(maps on bulge and also some maps of Normandy for example). Tiger and Panther will have no problem penetrating it but that’s the point, they are BR 4 tanks, not BR 3 vehicle.
Also, germany is not the only faction that would fight Sherman 105mm. Japan also does and Japan has even worse tanks on BR 3. Think about it.
Which is why its br3
I don’t think you understand the point here. The point is, the interaction between Sherman 105mm and the other BR 3 tanks. If your vehicle has a powerful HE capability(Which can be able to one shot heavy tanks from a BR above. Not many tanks are capable of this unless they have big HE as well) then the armor shouldn’t be as this good, simple as that. And since we can’t just artificially nerf it’s armor or gun, BR 4 with an appropriate buff would be the solution instead.
Joking, not joking…I think the wobble balances it out. I can’t think of any other tank where the barrel and sight bounces around for no reason, even on flat level ground.
knee engage bee three, knee cheak share bee
This is a known issue for Sherman 105mm. Yes, i’ve had experienced this myself quite a few times and this needs to be fixed as well of course.
No due to request for faster ammo reload
I said “faster reload” because it’s the cheapest, most obvious buff I could throw out there. It’s not a requirement, it’s not something I’d fight for, and if the devs ignored it entirely I wouldn’t blink. My proposal is two sentences: raise it to BR IV, and give it whatever it needs to survive there. Everything else — reload, armor, traverse, HEAT — is just me spitballing options as a forum user who isn’t a game designer. Please don’t vote against the whole thing over one throwaway suggestion. Judge the direction, not the specifics : )
Sadly that is not what was asked in the poll. The poll is pretty clear that the RoF is a condition for its transfer.
But in my opinion the 105 given HEAT alone should suffice for BR 4 (even though I see no way the current HE only version is fit for BR 3 given its outstanding level of protection and firepower).
That is just a bug and as such should not be seen as a balancing mechanism. Once fixed the 105 will only become even more oppressive as now it can hit the weakspots and infantry consistently and become even better than current BR 4 tanks.
