M3 Half Track for USA tech tree and Sdfkz 251 (MG34) for Germany tech tree

The M3 half track and Sdfkz 251 are some of THE most recognizable transportation vehicles of the entire war. It is beyond ridiculous that neither of these vehicles are available in the tech tree despite their iconic nature and widespread usage.

I propose that the M3 Half track be added to the USA’s tech tree, near the middle or the end of the tech tree so players will still need to use the unarmored APC for a bit. The half track should be equipped with an M2 browning as was standard.

Germany should receive a Sdfkz 251 in their tech tree in the same position (near the middle or end of the tech tree) but with the caveat that this Sdfkz 251 be armed with an MG34. This is so people who purchased the Sdfkz 251 premium with an MG42 don’t feel ripped off and the developers still have a reason to sell it.

These armored APCs should be BR2 like all others and the vehicles should be tied to the regular APC driver squad.

Japan and the USSR should naturally get armored TT APCs too, but for the sake of keeping this suggestion concise, I will save that for a future suggestion

Yes, but is never going to happen, their never going to add these to the TT because they are already in the game.

M3 Maybe, but I dont think their going to add it to the TT but rather an event or something.

I’d rather if they just gave us one of the other letter variants of the Sdkfz, just like @Spiderkingthe10-live mentioned. We currently have the D variant, they could give us another version.

Now, it’d still be pretty dumb that the most widely produced variant, the simplified D one, remains as Premium, but it’s such a minor thing that I just can’t be bothered… Plus, if you owned both the premium version and a future tech tree version then I think you should be able to switch places with them (I like the the look of the C variant the most, I would like to run that with my premium squad).

Side note, they need to readjust the directions of fire with the Sdkfz in game, I want to do some anti air in this thing:

Personally I bought the premium apc and I wouldn’t care if they put the same exact squad on the tech tree…premium squads still give double xp so it would still be better…plus Id be able to have two…which would just be based. But I like the idea of an mg-34 just for variety

They added the jagdpanther to the tech tree after it was a rare berlin premium. I believe one of the USA mortars was an event item too pre merge before being put in the TT

Same, I personally wouldn’t complain either. APC gameplay is what keeps me going. If they add a new one, then I’d have three in total. So if one gets destroyed, I just spawn in a new one. Rinse and repeat. That’s the APC life.

I like this. We need more tech tree vehicles that aren’t tanks.
Really, though, the Sd.Kfz.251/1 should just be made a tech tree vehicle. It’s not really on the level of the other premium vehicles (just wrote a suggestion on that, if anybody wants more on it). It would work better as a tech tree vehicle than a premium one, I think. Unless they do tweak/fix the MG.

I agree. I just wrote up a report on the Sd.Kfz.251/1, specifically concerning the MG. You make a great point that I always wanted it to have. I’ma add “higher elevation” to my report
