I often hear it said that the m1a1 carbine paratrooper squad is one the worst paratrooper squads, but recently I played them again and they’re not as bad as I remember.
I actually find the sights harder to use than the normal M1 Carbine. But still, I don’t think the normal M1 Carbine is as bad as people make out. Just don’t equip it on everyone and you’re fine.
The sights on the standard m1 carbine are way better in my opinion, but the m1a1’s sights aren’t as bad as I remember them being.
I don’t think it’s bad, but for me watching it shoot so slow is like watching paint dry. 
If it hit at 9.6, the same as the VG 1-5 I could live with the slower speed, but I get impatient waiting for the enemy to die. 
However, I have so many BR2 Allied assault squads that most of my M1 Carbine toting soldiers is dead before I ever have to use them.

If people thought this squad was good why would people want it downtiered?
I also see people on Reddit saying that it’s not a very good reward from the veteran box.
They need to fix the reload animations
All that’s needed is to change the M1A1 to the M2A1 (15 round) and place it at BR 3. Meanwhile, the M1A1 Thompson Paratrooper should be moved down to BR 2, since there are already excellent paratrooper options at that tier.
