It’s basically a starter M1903 but classes like the MG gunner can’t select them.

to be fair, all rifleman rifles ( outside semi auto ones & GL rifles ) should be used by all classes 
not just starter ones

Its probably an oversight considering that back in the day there was no good reason to deploy MG gunners with bolt-actions, but if you want to play BR 1 without swapping squads or leveling MG squad you need to equip MG gunners with bolties.

In my case i got a squad of marines in an eArly war PTO lineup. Worse than having the crap sights of the normal m1903…it breaks standardisation of the squad
