During an artillery strike, soldiers would get to the ground and cover their ears to boost their chance at both survival and battle capabilities, as they would be much more ready then someone trying to stand during all that ground pounding. I would love if this was somehow implemented into the game. Currently it doesn’t matter if you are standing, crouching, lying or even running through an artillery barrage. You receive the same amount of damage and the head shaking lasts the same as well. It would be nice if lying down during AB would either overall reduce the effectiveness of a barrage or at least shorten the head shaking duration. It would reward players for being in cover while under fire instead of running through like maniacs since currently the result is the same.
what does AB mean?
Artillery barrage probably
artillery barrage, sorry was lazy to type it :d
Why not. Makes sense. The Headshaking is quite annoying and it would help if you can lower it by lying down like you did with Fires in Battlefield 1.
I like it. Bots should immediately go to ground when in close proximity to arty barrage as well, instead of simply running away and making themselves good targets.
Well at least one thing I have definitely noticed bots doing is matching my posture. If I go prone they will do the same …
Now with that said they will usually crawl all over me at the same time but they seem to duplicate whatever posture you take…
There is also a perk that reduces the effects of head shake but I haven’t been able to verify how well it works … I do like the idea of a modifer that reduces headshake even further when laying prone …
They should just cut the concussion time in half, because artillery strikes go on and stack the effect when grenades or explosion devices are used. Seriously, your gun wobbles in odd directions so it’s not like adjusting this would break head shaking.
