I wonder what’s up with the new german squad with an unknown weapon found in the game files?
I hope it’s going to be prize in the future events and not another $40 premium squad…

Because the squad’s unique feature is not available in the TT. I worded it this way, becuase this applies to the old silenced squads too (MP 40 and Sten), just in those cases it was related to silencers.
In case of these new Chinese squads (and the Chinese assaulter squad with the Thompson 7.63 for the USA), players wouldn’t be able to recruit a 6th Chinese soldier for the squad (only Soviet and American/British soldiers), so instead of 1 slot for an engineer/AT gunner, one assaulter was replaced with the AT gunner and there are no free slots. This way the squad still comes with 5 unique smgs and 2 specialists like other premium assaulter squads.

I was a little confused as well, so I asked before I bought the squad. I haven’t used it in a game yet, only at the shooting range, but the SMG is a ridiculous laser with practically zero recoil. 
Give a sixth soldier common br rifle, what’s a problem with that?

They should’ve just given it proper stats.
Who knows why DF decided to make it a 5-man SMG squad and cut a man for no reason.
This premium pre-order Chinese squad is just sold to Chinese players for nostalgia, nothing more.
Just like the BM‑8 rocket truck — it’s a toy, not usable in competitive matches.
People who argue against this don’t talk about how terrible the stats are.
They avoid the real issues and only bring up minor, niche, fun-factor stuff.
This thing is pure cash-grab.
It’s not strong at all — way worse than the PPSh‑41 and Hurricane SMG.
It’s just a slightly upgraded BR1 PPD‑27 and should be in BR2.
Look at how the US Chinese squad was treated back then, then compare it to this Soviet one.
The double standards are obvious.

yes I absolutely agree with you, since all three Chinese smg squads are 5 members（USA gold squad，USSR gold and event squads) instead of 6 members. Most of the gold squads and events squads are all 6 members, but three Chinese squads are all five members

I‘d like to ask that why three Chinese smg squads ( one USA and two USSR) are all 5 members instead of 6 members. Since most of the events and gold squads smg and mg are all 6 members, such as UD, Marine Thompson, MG42 early, MG39, MG45, even the new Japanese Bar machine gun gold squads. Actually 5 members squads is obviously weaker than 6 members squads in surviving. Since the 5 members squads would obviously get wiped out faster than 6 members squads. And I think it’s reasonable, that add one Chinese solider, who could change AT weapon and tech tree rifles, into three Chinese smg squads, then remove the AT gun from the solider, who has SMG and AT gun. As a result, three Chinese squads would become 4 assaulter with SMG, 1 engineer with SMG, one AT gunner with rifle and AT weapon. And Chinese squads would become 6 members squads with which is same as most of the gold and event squads.

If it would be 4 assaulter + 1 engineer + 1 slot like most other assaulter premium squads, the 6th soldier would have to be either Soviet or American/British with a TT weapon. And in the TT/BP there are hardly any Chinese weapons, so in most cases you would end up with a mismached soldier.
Also changing the composition of existing squads in not really possible, so fixing the old 3 assaulter + 1 engineer + 1 AT gunner squads would mean that they would need an extra assaulter/engineer slot … which would lead to 6 smgs in the squad, which would mean powercreep over all existing assaulter squads.
So the AT gunner with the unique smg is a tradeoff for the lack of 6th soldier.

The premium squad → wierd choice but cool idk … Main question is, why was this not the squad in the new years update, since that one is also Chinese? would have made more sence than the silenced PPSh but ahh well …
Event squad, cool, nice, idk were getting a lot of Chinese squads but ah I dont mind to much. Wish we got some other nationalities as well but yeah …
actually dark flow could add a Chinese solider, who could change a techtree rifle weapon and AT weapon, and change a previous AT gunner to a normal assaulted, so the squad would become(4 assaulted, 1 engineer) with smg and one at gunner with rifle, which is same as the other gold squads. Also why couldn’t Chinese use soviet tech tree weapons
