Losing teams need better incentive to fight to the bitter end

Losing teams need better experience and better rewards for holding out to the bitter end against a deaf stack Otherwise it’s easier to desertion to find another match where it’s not gonna be so miserable And maybe this will fix the desertion problem

Nobody wants to be XP pinata if there’s no reason to be

Anyone’s free to expand upon this if they want to with their own ideas

And I’m not sure should this be in the mess room or in suggestions

I am more likely to desert if a game is a steamroll, if a game is somewhat balanced i wouldn’t even need any bonus incentive, but if i would have both no steamroll and bonus incentive that would be just great

i say if they weren’t to do any incentive they should’ve at least made steamroll less likely to happen somehow.

It is really hard complex problem,
This game is designed not that good so the game is not balanced so we can easly see one-side game.
There is no way to come from behind like other team- play games.

There should be a factor for dramatic revarsal like cap time reduce according to consumed tickets.

Without drastic changes I will keep deserting to find better match. No one have to suffer to change future that cannot be changed.

If I’m gonna fight and die the bitter end at least let me have something glorious at the end waiting for me Otherwise there’s no reason to stay in a match which is gonna be a loss when there’s nothing waiting at the end for me

exactly… steamrolls are shit games for both sides. i have seen players quitting them even when they are on winning team. i have seen many games where we lose cap in half minute that i went to build rally points. i dont see any incentive to stay in a game where players cant even defend cap for half a minute without me.

and this usually happens when one team is full of veterans and other team is full of bots or console players. there is no trying to win those games, you can only farm kills in best case scenario.

some exp bonus would work well, given how exp-based this game is. I’d say some battle awards for best losing side, that would end up people to compete with each other for the award and perhaps winning the game ;D

yea that’s good point i hate steamroll as the winning side as well, it feels like shooting range and sometimes i ain’t seeing any enemies at all

I desert not only when the only human vs a stack team (stacks don’t deserve to be entertained, they can keep killing bots until a proper mm pits them vs other stacks)

But I also desert when MY OWN team is all “gold” vs newcomers or bots… same reason as above.

No reason to be a punching bag (or kicking ppl already on the ground).

There’s NO reward WHATSOEVER for those holding up in losing teams. None at all. Knowing the winners get a hefty 1.5x xp just for walking over you is putting salt in the wound.

i heard today they have AI fighting better with cover thats a good step, ive noticed that taking AI out first means a better chance of getting the win, they just stand around half the time

Your reward is to get all the kills for yourself because if you´re getting steamrolled odds are your team isn´t very good at this whole video gaming thing lmao

That’s not much of A reward especially with the losing penalty I would say no thanks I don’t want to be an XP pinata for the enemy team I’d rather find another match

No amount of incentives could really work without making it more rewarding for losing than winning

and because they have admitted they rather people quit matches and rejoin matches, that is really the only way

and as people mentioned, some matches are worth leaving even on the winning team because there are just too many sweaty tryhards stacked on a team, even if it’s just one stacked premade group of tryhards

the only compromises I could see to help with this, outside of a huge upgrade to the matchmaking system (keep dreaming will never happen) is to punish deserters severely and to reduce the amount of players per match to 4-6 only. Also increase the capture areas, as another reason for desertion is the fish in the barrel idiocy forced in this game

they have such wonderful maps, yet they want to force players to capture tiny objectives, it’s just tragic

As I’ve said before and I bring up again, I think the best solution is to give +25% point/xp gain per extra person on the enemy team. So even if you are outmatched on numbers, you are still rewarded accordingly to how much of an advantage they have over you.

This really incentivizes overcoming the odds and getting the win bonus on top of that.

It sets the numbers after like the second objective point so it gives a little time for people to filter in and out of the game.

Take out bots first means that human will not know your position, human runs ahead of bots squad and as such is easily identified. To avoid this order your bots toward where you want to go then follow them to blend in.

What about giving victory bonus to the 3 top players of the loosing team.

Yeah. One Tunisia game people just pulled back and let the enemy take a point to farm them some more
