Looking for the community's opinion on earnable in game items

For all the fans of this game out there, do you enjoy earning things through gameplay (yes) or would you rather just be given everything from the start (no)? (In general, event weapons/vehicles and TT progression)

The last time i made a poll (while ago) it was much easier. It’s telling me i need to name the poll with this code “name” but I’m not sure where it goes. I put it at the start and this is how it came up. There’s no clear instruction on how to do this nor is there any under the suggestion rules page. Can someone help me get the poll right

Holy crap, they’ve made the poll thing so much more difficult than it used to be. The code in the suggestion rules doesn’t even work. Really need to update so it’s clear. I managed to get 1 poll up (imperfectly), but it won’t work copying and pasting it for the second one. Keeps saying i need to name it with that code. But it doesn’t like it no matter where i put it. Just realized it won’t even let me post the code it says i need to add here in message

Just to be clear, your poll code should look like [poll name=“poll1” type=regular results=always chartType=bar]

Don’t put my earlier example on its own line. It needs to be part of the header. Each poll needs a unique name too. And don’t forget close each poll off with [/poll]

click the cog and then build poll that’s the easiest, and you get more options

I dont understand this post. So instead of an event where it takes 10 days to unlock it all ( guns and a squad ) you just unlock it on the first day and the remains days are just there?

I think the events are how they keep players playing the game every other day. For TT stuff its the same thing where if a player wants to get better/stronger gear it makes a handful of them buy gold/premium to progress fast or for free to play continue to play the game for hours a day.

If it was just all unlocked I think players would drop the game faster and play something else

I’m not really suggesting anything. Just trying to gather opinions of the players to see if people enjoy earning unlockables/unique gear. Or would people rather not be able to earn anything and everything is just free from the start. Essentially giving everyone full access to everything day 1 starting a new account.

I’m interested to see what people think. Some crappy enlisted tester tried telling me it wouldn’t be good for a game to have ingame earnable items (customization rewards specifically but also on a whole). She called me and my points greedy, addiction driven, and egotistical. I find her to not only be completely off base but incredibly rude and demeaning to real gamers. I believe real gamers enjoy earning exclusive/unique gear and if there was unique Customization rewards achievable through tough tasks like earning a ghillie suit for x amount of long range kills players would love to sport it as a symbol of their accomplishment in a game such as this. I believe customization is a staple to online multiplayer games and not everything should be just given from the start. I believe there should be a good amount of “free” stuff to use and choose from, but earning things is what gets real players excited.

Heres the forum post if you’d like to back me up and read what the “official tester” has to say. I believe she’s completely wrong, and hasn’t the first clue what real gamers want.

You need to add Public=True to the header.

Anyway, as far equipment goes, its not free from the get go.
Almost nothing is, except perhaps what is in the tech tree.

Which its a good way for players to earn items that are more or less, balanced.

If, someone is looking for alternatives or sidegrades, premium content is where you’re you can obtain other items that are not inherently better or a must have.

But complements and enrich the gameplay.

You then have events with limited rewards behind.
Which are similar to premium, but unique in their way.
Cool thing is, if you missed any of events rewards, you can try your luck through rng and lootboxes.

While not being a perfect system, it can somewhat works as it doesnt lock anything from players. But, it requires time and luck.

Cosmetics on the other hand, are already locked behind premium squads.
And even if you bought them, you cannot use them everywhere else.

Let alone being able to reuse the same item with even just different type of pouches to match the weapon.

Much like clans and their own “ competitive “ side, enlisted does not need people with ego.

As its mostly about casuals and what not.
