Ever tried to make a rally on a slightly uneven surface, but have to spend 5-10 seconds positioning it at the exact place to put it down because it isn’t “flat enough”?
What if the closest valid building locations just snap into place if the cursor is pointed at an invalid area? Convenient right?
I’d like this to be a feature. Either set automatically, or on a toggle. With additional controls for it to automatically rotate to a specified range so that you don’t have to do a weird crouch ritual to position your emplacements the right way.
Hopefully, we also get additional control over the buildings we place.

While I agree this would be a convenient feature and I wish to have it, I can argue against it as well.
Without the auto-snap function, spending time searching on the uneven (hard-to-build-on) terrain for a proper location somewhat emulates that it’s really harder to set up a camp on hillside, and knowing by heart what locations are ideal for a rally point is a more valueable knowledge than with auto-snap.
(Not saying that it should matter, the whole rally point building process is such an abstracted thing that it’s not something where reality checks are to be performed.

This is why… It’s a toggle- For the people who dislike the idea.
If the idea of some devs is that it should be hard to find the spot, and done this way, then being able to toggle it off is quite strange. It’s just like if you’d get a toggle option whether you wish to die from artillery fire or bombs.
(Still not saying that this should not be implemented or whether optional or not is better.)
You’re making no sense.
You’re thinking that a quality-of-life change… Is too strong. And the comparison doesn’t even make sense.
Ok, thanks for your feedback.
