List of Suggestions to make the game Epic

  1. Add TOGGLE for sprint and Aiming+Zoom, this is like a default for all fps games. My hand hurt from holding right click.
  2. Add more options for the sounds, a lot of things are placed under 1 SFX. Explosions from far away sound like they are near me. Sometimes there is total silence as well.
  3. Increase the ammo each soldier has, as it is now it’s ridiculously low. Also place ammo crates on a lot of places, would make the game better.
  4. Forbid spawn camping even further, the current line is good, just improve it.
  5. Add Binoculars
  6. Add Medics into the game as a unit
  7. Why forbid a backpack if I chose a second weapon?
  8. Increase the dying/bleeding timer to 2 minutes so that a friendly medic can rescue you. Players should be able to drag other people to safety as well.
  9. Add camuflages and nest building for snipers
  10. Make sandbags more durable, a random artilery shot nearby removes all of them.
  11. Artilery to destroy buildings and rooftops + increased timer, people are spamming this a lot.
  12. Normandy beach should start a bit rough for allies, I feel like I am walking in a park at the start.
  13. Supply crate to also provide medical supplies
  14. Balance. Award people for not dying, This way people will not spend as much resources as they keep spamming (dying) now and eventually get more freaking points than someone who played carefully (died less times). Sometimes I get more kills, contributed a lot to the victory and yet someone with Less kills+10 deaths is higher on the rankings just because he was closer to the cap point. Yes capping is important but as a sub class = engineer, sniper, pilot etc they will always get less points than the troopers.

There’s perks you can get to increase the ammo, unless they were removed.

What for? You can already spot everything you need to at the ranges we fight easily.

No. Playing on the objective, defending it and playing the objective is infinitely more valuable than a sniper camping 3 lightyears from the point and shooting. Or an engineer sitting 100 meters back pretending to be a sniper.

Pilots have no problems racking up very high scores.

I stopped reading after I read that holding down a mouse button lightly hurts your hand somehow. Shouldve known from the cringe title.

This is a bug, even if those settings were there, it wouldn’t fix it for you. The devs are aware of th numerous sound issues.

IDK, more often than not, I die way before I get even close to spending all the ammo on all of my soldiers in a squad. But I am using the large ammo pouches on some of my soldiers. Also, you can have an engineer on just about any squad - just build an ammo crate.

Hm… I can see it being potentially usefull when defending a point on large invasion maps so you can relay to the rest of the team where the enemies are coming from, but then again, we have sniper scopes, and binoculars would take up a whole equipment slot - not really worth it.

Because you’re not supposed to sit there and camp, you either take points or defend them. That implies that you die often. Don’t look at duying as something bad in this game - this is how this game achieves the feeling of massive attack waves - you constantly see action. Also, you can always build an ammo crate.

People don’t even mark important targets - takes less than a second to do. You want them to drag someone to safety, potentially for 2 minutes?

… and make the sniper position obvious to an enemy? Because of the kill-cam you need to change your position, at least slightly, after each successfull kill, and I like that mechanic - use your environment.

Maybe slightly, I too can’t see how a single AA shot would destroy it completely, but I also don’t want them to be much more durable. Maybe a little.

Could be fun, but would probably greatly impact performance, thus limiting the player base. Increased cooldown - YES! A thousand times YES!

I feel like many (if not all) maps need some tweaking here and there. We are still in v0.1, so give it time.

You are supposed to die often in this game. IRL, no ammount of medkits would grow you your arm back or magically fix your concussion. Even if you were in once piece, you would be in no shape to fight after being shelled. Having effectively unlimited supply of medkits just doesn’t make sense.

Can you imagine what a boring gameplay that’d be? Getting more kills is not really contributing much to victory. It’s not completely useless, don’t get me wrong, at times it helps a lot, but it’s not getting you the victory. War is chaos, this game (when played as intended) is actually doing a pretty good job of depicting it. So… (in Russian accent): rush B, my friend, rush B!

Award people for not dying? This is war! Of course many will die but do not punish those who actually do their job by storming or defending the objective and its better to reward people who tried to do the objective even when they keep dying since they help the team anyway especially when they killed alot of enemies.

Want a game that punishes you for dying too much? Play something else then.

Assault matches operate on fixed amount of tickets. So cutting down all those people who run to objective contributes to winning more, as you bleed tickets and prevent people from getting to objective. Pretty sure that contributes more than hiding your ass inside of objective and shooting one or two guys if you are lucky. I often play as tanker, in which case if you kill some tanks in addition to protecting objective, you might get a good score. But when I deploy my MG squad, even if I get more kills, I’m still bellow my tanking score. This makes no sense. Do they adjust score gain by distance to objective?

The game needs much much larger cap areas. Like 5-10 times larger than what it is right now. Large cap allows to flank enemy with heavier weapons while still staying in cap. Makes mortar use and bombing less obvious.

As you get older these things become more relevant. Have empathy for physical problems other people have, you will be at their place as you grow older.

Only if you play as defenders, which is why I said it helps a lot sometimes. And I made a point against camping several times in my message, but I guess that didn’t fit the point you were trying to make, so you decided to omit that part, right? :slight_smile:

Both sides have tickets and those are shown at the top. Taking objective gives what - 50 tickets? that’s like a single respawn wave.
Its a game with a bunch of bolt action rifles, no stabilization on tank turrets, bracing weapons to increase accuracy and few run and gun guns. It is the game for campers. Don’t like that? There are plenty of other games out there.

Gee, almost like the actual WW2, which we all know was mostly fought by campers, no one would ever assault, f-that, who in their right mind would do such a thing? SMH…

Almost like objectives/capture points are added to this game to prevent it from being a fully camp fest.

So far it looks more like this - when you squad is fresh and weak, you can just dumb run into the point and maybe even kill someone, your squad will get xp. When squad is kitted out, you get more options, don’t have to camp per se but don’t have to bum rush and die to artillery again and again.

What annoys me is that campaign progression is linked to the same xp as what you get from battles. So tanking and doing cas or just suicide run into cap points is objectively better than setting up a good defensive point with engineers. Same goes for AT squads, if you are going to deliberately hunt tanks, you are going to be at the bottom of the score list, even if you kill some of them. This is why so often you see sniper teams running into cap points - they are tired of trying to level by sniping.

I’ve been trying to find the spring and lean toggle option for ages, nothing worked. Turns out it’s just not in the game?

Trying to swing across a corner while sprinting and leaning (on PC: shift+w+a+q) and aiming with the mouse is a real trick

As ViiK said, it is now more point effective to send suicide squads to rush and die in points rather than playing strategically. There are many factors that contribute to the victory, a single tank or spawn point placement between points can change everything (so you can rush better), yet they aren’t actually in the circle so no points for that. A single sniper preventing whole squads from capping a zone should be rewarded as well.

To the brain-dead people here who just type “No” on everything without any reason, please give your opinion on why not and provide a better solution. WW2 games should be realistic in the end, Soldiers carried a lot more ammo, medic units existed in big numbers, whether you like it or not. Games like Post Scriptum, H&G and Squad proves all these suggestions can be good for the game, not “boring” as you describe it. Again please provide your suggestions and lets have a conversation.

ADS toggle is a reasonable request and an FPS game standard. I HATED this when I first started playing but I have gotten used to it. Still…if i’m tanking it does suck to hold down RMB while spraying.

except this game isn’t like those also suggestion 1 is already in the game just not as zoomed in as holding RMB, 6 wouldn’t really have a point because of the game and how quickly people will follow up shots to secure a kill, 5 can’t work because of how small the maps are, 7 is due to humans having a limited carrying compacity, 9 wouldn’t be fun and camos weren’t use in large numbers, 10 sandbags aren’t held by cement and are just stacked together, 11 was already denied by the devs, 12 it’s already difficult for both sides just that american mains tend to be a bit smarter than german mains on average. 13 will make the 75% med pack usage and 200% health from medpacks combo more powerful than they already are. 14 will reward aircraft and mortar spam. 8 won’t matter because players will secure kills. 3 i agree on but not really much of an issue since ai can give you an infinite amount. 2 is likely because the maps are really small
