As an attacker in a game, so many snipers will make it very difficult for teammates to attack. They hide in safe areas and cannot provide more support to their teammates.
Unfortunately, the progress of capturing points in this game is very dependent on the number of teammates. If they don’t enter the captured area, your capture speed will be very slow.
Snipers are a special class of troops. There won’t be many of them, so they should be as rare as vehicles. Limit the number of snipers and scoped rifles.

From a HA perspective, I think they should do this in a mode via PersonalSpawnScoreCost.

Snipers are expensive and uncommon items, as are assault rifles. Fedorov is even rarer than the sniper. (Fedorov which I doubt exists)

Ah no, snipers are cool if they play aggresively, except average Enlisted players doesn’t do that do they?

Then this same thought process should be carried over to flamethrowers and radio operator squads as well! All too often I see 3-4 active at once!

The thing is though, is it only tells you the type of CHARACTER they are currently in control of, not the SQUAD. Many of those players sitting back that display as snipers are using radio-operator squads.
ESPECIALLY on offense, as its too easy of kills.

There is also the other flip side, they could be using snipers to eliminate high value targets like MGs and such. Not as likely, given how open and exposed the defenders are, but still a possibility.

The Fedorov assault rifle has been discontinued after the October Revolution. Because of the Soviet government’s policy of unifying ammunition calibers, it is rarely equipped in the Soviet army. It is indeed rare.

I can also shoot very aggressively with a bolt-action rifle.
But a bolt-action rifle with a scope? I doubt it, not to mention that the American scoped bolt-action rifle has a magnification of eight times. If the distance is too close, the scope is a burden.
If I saw a sniper at the Battle of Stalingrad I wouldn’t complain because they were probably holding a scoped MKB42

A small number of snipers are beneficial. They can sometimes help teammates take out high-value targets.
But the proliferation of snipers will be annoying.
Normally, there should be no more than two teams of snipers in a game, which is within the acceptable range.

If you follow the timeline of this game, I guess it doesn’t exist or is so small that it can be ignored.
It was only temporarily used during the Soviet-Finnish War and the Japan-Soviet border conflict during the Soviet period, and most of them were lost in the Soviet-Finnish War.

The biggest problem with snipers, as I see it, is that beginners are forced to play with them.

They rotate their 3 infantry squads and are probably attached to their sniper squad early on since they put time and effort to leveling it up.

Instead of swap it when their unlock new squads like radiomen and AT-gunners they keep it in their line-up for a long time.

Also, since they’re beginners, most of them don’t understand the fundamentals (pushing etc.).

It’s also a F2P which will attract all kind of nut jobs with no clear goals with playing this game since they haven’t spend a dime and just installed it.

This is a problem and beginners should be given the opportunity to unlock more useful squads than snipers earlier, encouraging them to learn about the game in a more positive way
Just like in the past, Tunisia needed to reach level 9 to unlock the Engineer Corps. Before that, even if you wanted to help the team do something, you couldn’t do it.

Yeah, you’re right. Keeping in mind that Enlisted is a “realistic” game, snipers and sniper squads (WTF???) shouldn’t be able to be deployed as an assault squad, but let’s not be so precise, let’s just focus on if those players help or not: NO. I’ve playing for a few days with snipers and even if you wanna play aggressively you can’t (unles you play in Stalingrad).
But at the same time we create new problems, such as:

  1. Other types of squads would need to be controlled / limited.
  2. People will start complaining and saying that this is not HLL or something else, so devs will pretend everything’s fine (as usual?).

Limit snipers? Limit bad players, limit the number of people that don’t play the f***** objective.

You can integrate snipers into other squads though so if you limit specifically sniper squads, you’d just end up with rifleman and engineer squads with snipers added to a slot and playing the same way.

He’s right. This is the real issue.

I rarely use snipers except in Moscow with mkb which is absolutely amazing and i play it like a small assault squad. Bolt action snipers rarely have the kill pressure required to be useful except in niche cases can be used as a scout point man for your squad.

I guess this post shows what’s wrong with the game.

You want to play your way? It would be a shame if it was not run and gun playstyle, because that’s the only playstyle that metters.

But hey, as long as I like run and gun, the game is great. And everybody who suggests any changes wants to destroy the game.

basically the core issue of snipers is that they’re not able to get as many kills in short time, compared to any other class especially assaulters, I think it is a big mistake that bots with automatic weapons perform better, it should be exactly the other way around to balance the performance of low/high rof classes.
Meaning, if you can’t rack up kills as easily your squad mates should perform better to even it out.

it’s good idea from player perspective, not from developer’s, because how would you incentive people to buy premium automatic squads. I’d rather this game to be P2P or at least subscription based, so that dev could focus on creating good gameplay environment with no need to keep an eye on business aspect.
