So usually the amount of bullets one have is related to weight. And that’s why people don’t have endless of ammo.
For example, an AVS has a clip size of 15, while an MKb.42 has clip size of 30.
So Germans have a more accurate gun with twice the ammo… not sure if that is balanced ?
Instead, make both guns have 60 bullets ?
Am I saying that LMG should have less bullets, NOPE.
The game developers can simply set a “default: max ammo” on each gun, and then “extra ammo pouches” would each give 100% extra ammo from.
So a default ammo + extra ammo pouch would be (60+60 = 120)
Someone replies: But you can buy extra ammo bags…
Answer: It does not change that the German with ammo bags still have 100% more ammo. And also since he has more ammo by default he can skip get extra ammo and get something els instead.
Make a smarter and more balanced system.

Agreed, MG34 with small ammo bag gets an extra 50 bullets, but with large it’s only a measly extra 100 (2 magazine) but the .30 cal will get alot more because it’s “magazine” is bigger so it gets even more ammo!
this is from the start of OBT

Not sure what you are trying to say? OBT ?
Are you talking about this was a change they actively did in the past or a change they plan to do in the future?
If its a post about the past… then its not the least in any way adressing what I wrote from start.
and
If its a post about future changes, then it still fails, since AVS would only get 30ammo/2 clip=30 ammo.
AVS is not an SMG.
AVS is not an Anti-Tank Rifle.
AVS is not an Rifle with sliding bolt.
AVS is not an Machine Gun.
So only left in this case would be a “Self Loading Rifle” = 30 rounds or 2 magazines.
I still think having a Soldier with an AVS have half the ammo vs MKb.42 is really dumb.
avs needs one shot to down
mkb needs 2
seems pretty logical to me
also in case you are wondering, a “self loading rifle” is a semi auto. and even though AVS, AVT, FG 42 and FG 42 II are actually select fire rifles, they are categorized as semis in this game

OBT is the Open Beta Test which is what we’re in with that note being from april 8th of last year.
also keep in mind that the MKB42 has half the damage of the AVS

I personally like a way to re-pack my magazines…for example if I have 15 in one mag and 5 in another…be nice to have an option to get it to where one mag had 20 rounds in it.

AVS
10m ===> 12 Damage (Does not kill a person with vitality perk)
100m ===> 9,8 Damage (Does not kill a person with full health)
200m ===> 8 Damage (Does not kill a person with full health)
MP 43… MKb 42 ( STG )
10m ===> 8 Damage (2 shots kills enemy with vit perk)
100m ===> 6,2 Damage (3 shots kills enemy with vit perk)
200m ===> 5 Damage (2 kill without perk, 3 kill with perk)
You said MKb does half damage ?.. Math… hoes does it work?
8x2 = 16 Damage (not 12)
6,2x2 = 12,4 Damage (not 9,8)
5x2 = 10 Damage (not 8)
And nope… it does not half the damage it does more around 2/3 of damage.
And if you think damage done should be a metric on how much ammo one should carry then according to that then AVS should have 45 bullets not 30. That would be an improvment.
But then u start to think… damn the MKb/MP43 ( STG ) Are just lazer guns with no recoil.
So you have a gun with more ammo, that can kill more enemy, with lazer accracy and also option to clear houses better and be more effitent in close quarter…
Give AVS more ammo, this is just stupid.
and soldiers have 10 HP before downing so 8 damage takes 2 shots while 12 is a 1 shot which so it does half the damage since 8 doesn’t cross an important damage threshold
Use magazines, not clips. None of the guns you metioned use clips.
And the reason the Mkb has more ammo than AVS is because the MKb has a weaker cartridge. So while AVS follows the same rules for how much ammo it gets as all semis and SFs, while Mkb follows the same rules as rifleman class carbines. So same as M1 and M2 carbines. Which makes sense, as those guns need more bullets to kill someone. Plus the main reason that SFs are in any form balananced is their low ammo count.
So the only change I’d do here is lowe the amount of ammo the M2 carbine and Mkb42(engineer) get to 30+60, rather than the current 30+90. The only exception being Mkbs put on actualy assaulters, which should get the 30+90, as do the thompsons for example.
