I think they never do that on tanks

these are just camos, you need to own the vehicle to apply the “skin”.

Why doesn’t this Sherman variant feature full appliqué frontal armor? I got the M4A1 (76) last time, but this skin is for the M4A1 (75).

Here’s the catch: the extra plating is only fitted on the hull sides, leaving the front untouched—what’s the reasoning behind this? The M4A2 and M4A3 already have superior base armor to this model. I’d be satisfied if they’d just weld an extra steel plate across the front glacis.

As things stand, neither of these two new skins is practical. They look nice aesthetically, yet they’re barely viable for actual combat deployment.

Historically, US troops even cobbled together makeshift concrete armor to boost their survival odds on the battlefield. It makes little sense they wouldn’t add spare steel plating to the front in this cosmetic setup. Soviet KV and T-34 tanks all received 25 to 30-millimeter supplemental front armor; why skip frontal plating entirely for this Sherman skin?

All roads lead to Rome.

But as others asked, are those special camouflage giving additional protection or they’re just looking nice?

Yes, the camos actually give additional armor - they are not just cosmetics.

Also worth noting that the extra pieces can be destroyed!
