I almost killed a teammate while waiting for spawn and switching between spawn locations and suddenly being put in-game. My last click on map was late by 0.1 sec and was registered as a shot, and the bullet was shot next to the guy with a 5 cm margin or so.
I propose a 5 sec holdoff time for friendly fire in both directions right after spawn. This way a freshly spawned person would not be killed by some teammate’s shot happening in the spawn moment [so if I shoot through spawn location an enemy, I don’t end teamkilling someone just spawned], and the shot I described above would not do harm either.
Based on some comments I don’t think it’s implemented so now, but I might be wrong, after all I did not shoot that teammate.
Yeah, he literally popped in front of me while I was firing my MP40 at some Soviets and took a burst in the back of the head.
Neither his fault nor mine.
I still think the Penalty for Killing Teammates is too much. -150 Points for accidental kill is very harsh. Sometimes your teammate ran in front of you or you end up running into each other in tight corridors.
Planes is also very harsh, its very easy to accidentally kill a teammate using Planes. Playing Planes for the whole match means you are very likely to get kicked. Something needs to be done.
One of the other feature request was about the infantry team kills.
For the planes I don’t have immediate ideas, I don’t fly and don’t drive much yet. Probably in plane case the ratio of enemy/friendly kills should be considered. Let’s say if you’re above 3:1 then you’re safe, it’s just less XP for the kills done by bombing.
