Those only have 1 plate for each side, basically.
So does the Puma and M5
The damage models for LAVs are unironically dogshit because Gaijin can’t decide what to do with them aside from let them be clown cars. It’s now on Darkflow to figure their path out with them and I don’t think they’ve done that yet.
If you look at the armor models in WT, any pair of armor panels that could be considered “one plate”, such as the 50mm plate in front of the transmission of the Stuart and the 30mm or so upper front plate, the joint between those plates will cause volumetric issues.
Yeah I know. It’s aids on the KTH for one. Side and front of the turret.
I know what you’re on about there. Volumetric is dogshit, but that’s a recent thing.
But that’s not what I’m talking about. It’s the utter lack of crippling damage because there’s only the critical things modeled in the light vehicles. That’s why they introduced hullbreak.
Yeah, the Puma in Enlisted, as well as tanks like the LVT and T-35 in War Thunder, are so spacious that you can keep penning and keep doing nothing because despite turning the target into swiss cheese, most of the spread-out critical parts are fine.
Hull break in War Thunder is stupid, but there’s potential to improve it in Enlisted.
Instead of making the tank explode dramatically, it should forcibly boot out the crew and make the tank unusable, maybe turning it into a hole-ridden and collapsing “hullbroken” model.
That would be cool, since most tanks don’t fireball into a massive cookoff.
There’s a few pics of panzers with a bajillion shell holes in them because they were knocked out but allied forces couldn’t tell and kept firing at the tank.
Also noticed the MODERN weapons file. huehue we going modern at some point bois.
two words.
April. Fools.
As a person who loves tanks/armoured vehicles, I can’t wait to be able to fight in/along side all these vehicles. I just want HE and hull MGs to be usable, then i’ll be happy.
Hull MGs are extremely unlikely to become usable any time soon, as they were not modeled to turn in War Thunder. As such, they would require a modification to the model itself, which, due to copyright, would require that specific artist who made the model 5+ years ago to do that, or the creation of a brand new model entirely.
too late, already put money aside for my Iraqi Martyr’s brigade premium squad for the baghdad campaign.
This is why low intensity conflicts is the future of Enlisted. So many delicious asset flips
Except every seperate campaign splits up the playerbase by another fraction, forcing progression from scratch, as well as no crossovers with other campaigns.
I don’t see the “final product”, whatever that may be, have more than 8 campaigns. I see invasion of France, Battle of the Bulge, Stalingrad/Kursk and Pacific campaigns being added, but not much more than that.
To some extent - but there are a lot of people who will be attracted by 1 campaign in particular - and if it isn’t there then they won’t play at all.
So I can see Enlisted becoming the “go to” infantry combat game for many periods - with a limited number of people actually trying to play all of them, and “special interest” customers making up the bulk of each.
They’ll be keeping an eye on all that with their marketing and sales figures of course.
10v10 matches and bots that auto-fill in. Almost like they planned for a split player base.
You would plan for not having enough people to fill all slots every game - that’s just good business!
