yes you can?
( and in some occasions, you don’t need to if we consider that the game it’s meant to be asymetrical balanced )

I am only glad of it.
But you’re against it.As I remember, you are against the tigers in Normandy, for example.Or did you mean about matchmaking then?
I’m just gonna copy / paste my Reddit response to this topic.
"I’m okay with it so long as they are brought in and balanced correctly. The NZ team for example I was quite happy with. One, it brings a Commonwealth representation that is sorely lacking in other WW2 games. Two, it allows us as players to taste a bit of history as to what it could have been if fielded.
I find everytime something is introduced, I try and find articles online about it and learn its history. If that is the net result of doing it , than good on them IMO."
And full squads with ppsh…
oh look another thread crying about Germany.
Allied mains never stop crying. jfc
Personally I enjoy ahistorical weapons and features, as long as it’s not the be-all-end-all and they’re kept at sufficiently high enough levels to limit their use and availability.
Indeed, both would just be too much…
was a Czechoslovakian semi-automatic rifle that did see use but only in limited numbers, but when the germans took over all the zh29 were given to SS and penel units seeing as they were not supplied the KAR98 and had to souce there own weapons outside the german military,
also there are kar98 models that are full length rifles and then there are kar98k models that were produced by the luftwaffe but they became really popular, but due to the influence of hollywood and mainstream games this is been buried
Whats the difference between regular K98 and the Luftwaffe version? Just curious. Would be epic to see it in the game
Devs have said that if a weapon is period correct, it can be in the game, then by that logic I don’t see a problem because, we don’t use lasers, or magic or other nonsense, but we actually have the ability to use rare prototype weapons that, for military history fan myself, is an amazing experience. I can really allow this. Overall, if developers manage to maintain a balance between arcade and simulation, I’ll be more than happy.
quick google for you :
98 has two sling swivels, the K98k has only one, forward swivel. Instead of the rear swivel there’s a through cut in the buttstock, through which the sling is passed. The rifles also have different rear sights: Gew. 98’s have a curved, tangent sight, while the Kar 98k has a more modern, leaf type rear sight. Specimens with folding stocks (Klappschaft) and with detachable barrels (Abnehmbarer Lauf) are known to have been produced at Mauser Oberndorf
Folding stock version:
detachable barrel one:
98k has nothing to do with luftwaffe. they had a trial with a diferent 98k model as my reads goes FG was created because of this
. normal inf used both gewehr 98 and mauser 98k’s
tldr: gewehr 98 was a long barel version with early sights and mauser 98k’s had diferent sights and shorter barrel.
kar98k has nothing to do with luftwaffe besides some types that were made for them and trialed with fail results. FG was made because of it.
98k, became the standard German infantry rifle in 1935 . nothign to do with the luftwaffe.
I cant seem to find any source about Germany using the ZH29, only the chinese. Do you have a source to German usage?
Not to mention the fact American troops are issued British weapons, and the weapons Americans are actually used have to be earned or bought. The entire weapon itemization system is borked.
If it never saw service in the campaign, I say remove them from the campaign–86 it. Now, if its a prototype, let it be either battlepass, operation reward, or a premium squad weapon
Replace the Mkb with explosive round kar 98. German snipers would actually use explosive rounds to blow peoples heads off.
“On 10 January 1943, after the battle for the village of Dmitrivyevka, when it was quiet again, Pavel Suvorov was hit in the head with an explosive bullet” -Mansur Abdulin from book “Red Road From Stalingrad”
“They fired (Germans) explosive bullets at us, which we were not used to. The bullets exploded when hitting the trees and one got the impression that someone was firing nearby, even from above, in the crown of trees.” - Alexander V. Pl’ycn on Operation Bragation from book “Penalty Strike” (later he mentions seeing a comrade with half his head missing after getting hit by explosive bullet)
They should create a system that makes it so weapons are reserved to the nation that uses them. Commonwealth units will be able to use only common wealth weapons and Americans GI should only use their standard issue equipment.
Not too much, that’s when I open the PPSH and I can arm a whole squad with it and you give this opportunity for a couple of days, then too much.
at the commission of herrman goring for his own troops, the kar98k was to be a cheaper model then the kar98
PERIOD PERIOD PERIOD
what ?
It means I strongly agree with this statement
