Let's all support the Königstiger restoration project!

Hello colleagues,

A short story to make everyone understand the scale of this project. We have only ONE original surviving Tiger I tank in the world, in running condition, it’s Tiger 131. You can read more about it here: Tiger I - The Tank Museum - Tiger 131
Its current “owners” if you can call it that, are The Tank Museum which is registered with the Charity Commission based on UK.

These wonderful guys have decided to take on another initiative - to fully restore the impressive Königstiger (better known simply as the Tiger V2) to running condition. Their goal is to get all the necessary income only from public donations. Target, ambitious 1 million pounds. However, as with any similar campaign, there are several donation levels depending on the amount, and of course, prizes and awards for everyone who contributes to this project, with the opportunity to come and finally ride this cat when it is fully restored.

I think this is a unique opportunity for the whole world, for the preservation of military history, for cinema, for all people.

I would probably chip in if the donation meant I actually get a UK visa to go see that Tiger P one day.

I suppose fortunately, Im next door to it in Ireland, so its always been very easy to pop over, though I will say, if its just the visa your worried about, as long as your only going over there for tourist activities, youll be more than fine getting that.
