I can understand why you can’t talk to the other team, but wouldn’t it be nice if we could have a few standard (nice) things we could say to the other team using a pie menu? For example, In my Stuka, I was trying to lose a pursuing IL2 by slowing down and hugging the ground. It worked! The IL2 flew over my and just as I went full power to pursue him, a sniper shot me. It would have been nice to be able to say something like: nice shot!
I know most players wont use it at first, and some will never use it, but once you receive a compliment you’ll be more inclined to give a compliment, which would help create a friendly playerbase.
Yeah, it’s sad that there is no way to show players from enemy team our respect after The battle.
We had some suggestions in the past about the system of giving rewards to the chosen players after the battle. So you could choose such player, who in your opinion deserves additional reward for his good play, sportmanship etc., and then he would recieve some small exp booster, one silver order or something similar. Preferably you could choose one player in your team and one in the enemy team (excluding your precreated squad to avoid exploiting).
I remember trash talking the enemy team after the match along with some fellow Red Army players screaming “URA!” from Red Orchestra 2 alongside the “Go Home GI” taunts from Rising Storm 2.
Honestly this is a double edged sword like some players will hate the guy who constantly spammed FG42s, camping on grey zones in tanks, berating the entire team for being brain dead and blaming them for the defeat, etc. I could see stuff like “This team deserve to be in a military tribunal” or worse.
Just add general chat option in menu like warthunder has. Then you still can msg the other player but 9 out of 10 times it will be flaming and insults anyway, like lets be honest.
I see concerns about toxic chat, but that’s the reason for the piemenu. You’d onky be able to say nice things to the other team. You could even add the option to say something nice to the last guy that killes you.
And I know it probably was a bot that sniped me, since a few days ago I had just spawned and suddenly ‘I’ had sniped a pilot from his chair, but still I like to dream I was sniped by a godlike player.
