Let players adjust their weapon sights

Please add this in; you can use the “page up” and “page down” buttons like with the Panzerfausts. If people don’t want to mess with it, they can keep it the same as you have left it. I come here saying this after using an SVT 40 sniper rifle to shoot at real players, not bots. I am not asking for an animation of the soldier taking his hand and adjusting the sights; I am just asking that the sight elevation goes up or down.

I would also like to add that a huge chunk of the weapons have the ability to do this with their range selectors; here are some of them:

YES

I’ve been thinking the same myself.

but same time you just don’t engage anything past 100m mark so… why would anybody use that…

if we’re ever to have really large maps… notice how damage reduction per distance (meters) go past 1500m… that could be a hint :thinking:

Have you been shooting with an SVT not sighted at 200m? It is not fun.

I haven’t, but that’s not the point, I think distant combat doesn’t pay off right now in enlisted AT ALL, though I wish it was!

That is my point. Regardless of range, I would rather be sighted in at 200m than 100m. I would rather have the option to change my sight range than not; do you believe the same?

why though? I’m not following.

Because it is not too far and not too short, I will know that it is my skill issue if I am not hitting my shots even though it is sighted at the best range.

no, why because the game has bigger problems, they don’t even have individual patches for units having the game individuality reading ever sight would cause the game to explode.

is there even any noticeable drop at any game ranges in the first place? I certainly dont notice, dont have to compensate at all…and as a rl avid shooter its something I am very familiar with.

I dont mind this feature, but I dont see any oppurtunity/point to use it outside the launchers that already have it.

Yes

Yes we can
(eventually)

you sure its not dispersion? Ill have to test when i get home, But Ive never allowed for bullet drop on rifles/semiautos headshotting from across the map

there is a drop over 100m where it’s hard enough to hit a target anyway. You didn’t notice because this is not the range player usually engage a combat.

I tested out to 230m…It might drop a little, pretty insignificant. Hard to tell because the iron sights cover “head at that range”. Certainly not enough to play around with the sighting. The shots at centre mass still hit centre mass, the headshots, still counted as head (or even worse, neck more damage)

but like I said. sure, put it in, I wouldn’t bother with it though, personally.

Yeah, I would ignore that feature, just like I ignored it with Pfaust.
Its implementation doesn’t affect me in any way. But if someone needs it so badly, why not?

I don’t see this as something worth prioritizing given how niche it is.
