Right now, there’s a dozen or so legacy vehicle squads that currently have access to 1 vehicle, maybe 2. I feel like, as they are, aside from certain squads like the jumbo sherman squad, there’s very little reason to keep them around, and considering that every new tank added is being compressed into 3 or 4 or so squads, I feel it would be fair to also let legacy squad owners use some form of variety.
Obviously only some squads should be able to use some tanks but there’s no reason that all these tanks are locked into 3-4 squads with the legacy squads just taking up awkward space
The main issue with a squad only having a single vehicle is that the vehicle is basically locked to the squad.
You can’t assign a different vehicle to that squad because it has only one vehicle but you also only have one of each vehicle so you definitely can’t equip a vehicle with a legacy on a tech tree squad which can be a huge problem when you are trying to max out said squad.
As a premerge player who maxed out 4.5/6 old campaign, I know what you’re secretly plotting.
You want to cycling vehicle squad. And NO, it’s wouldn’t be fair.
Believe it or not, that’s not actually it.
I’d like a tank for every lineup, and right now I can’t use my BR2/BR4 lineups without checking every time to see if I’ve got an Alecto or Churchill in my squad. I can already cycle 2 Jumbos and a Super Pershing, why would I need more?
No, because vehicle squads simply shouldn’t be limited to what vehicles they can use at all.
All tanker squads should be able to use all tanks, all fighter squads should be able to use all fighter, all attackers should be able to use all attackers.
It is that simple.
Infantry squads are not limited what kind of tier weapon they can use as well.
I honestly disagree with this. I feel it should, at the very least, have rhyme and reason as to what vehicles go into what squad versus the brit squads driving around in Pershings with and Italian tanker squads wheeling KT(H)s around. All vehicles usable by all their respective class squads just sounds like a nightmare to navigate anyway since there’s so many vehicles.
