Lehrter-Banhoff (invasion) point rework

I think the current Lehrter-Banhoff is pretty mediocre and edging on being a bad map. One reason being the spawn points and the second being the points themselfs. I think the points for this map are bad with the exception of the fourth point, that one is actually pretty nice.

So I’m going to try and rework the points


1st point

  • Instead of the trainyard for the first point I think the buildings would be a better point. Making the first point a close quarters environment with tanks and planes acting as support roles and not curb stompers

2nd point

  • instead of the current point which is out in the open and so, hell for infantry, it should be instead the house next to it. Once again a close quarters zone for infantry to duke it out in

3rd point

  • Instead of the flak battery it should be the southern spawn point for the Lehrter-Banhoff (conquest). Once again the infantry would fight without that much vehicle support ( seeing a trend)

4rth point

  • This would the last point of the normal Lehrter-Banhoff (invasion)

5th point

  • This would be at the very end of the train station. This would make it so the Krauts would completely retake the train station so it would make sense

Yes please. Current point/objectives destroy this map fun.

Well, that’s definitely better than the existing capturing points.

Looks amazing

I never even saw the point in defending or attacking more or less just a bombcrater.

Could be interesting, first point has already obnoxious for German Tank as it can’t have so many option to move…

100 times - yes! Right now it makes no sense. Ok, you took control of that roundabout. But if the surrounding houses are still full of enemy infantry, you’re not holding that position, no way.
Take something you can actually hold.

How to win with the current objectives:

  1. Bomb the objectives because they’re all in the street

I see russian mains on other forums hoping desperately this map doesn’t get reworked because they enjoy spawn camping the german side so much.

or a map with 2 objectives that are real real far apart and when both get capped its a fast bleed.

About first point… I like current version. If players want to take / defend point on ground they usually should have control of the house first. Many teams lose because they ignore importance of house. That house is also very interesting point for sniper play and many climbing spots. I guess if objective would be transfered to house it would be just another cqc grenade spamming contest, like conquest match on the same map.
