Land damaged plane gives vehicle kill=BS

Why is it that the player that “wounded my plane” would get a vehicle kill if I find an open field and safely land it?!? This doesn’t seem right. If a pilot is able to land a damaged plane, the vehicle kill points shouldn’t go to the player that just damaged it. If anything the player should be awarded some XP for landing and getting back into the fight as pseudo-infantry. This can be seen as the vehicle being able to be repaired by friendlies, thus “saving” the vehicle for later fights.

Well, he did take the plane out of use…it’s landed but cant be used anymore

You get +100 point for safe landing I think

The pilot safely landing ALREADY gets xp for it.

And the landing is caused by a damaged plane… which counts as taking the plane out. Hence the kill.

because when the pilot is killed the plane is lost/destroyed you did not save the vehicle
same with a tank, if it is abandoned and the crew killed the tank is lost/destroyed

Question is where can you land it? There is barely any place to land and fix other than the carrier ships in pacific maps.

Uhh if they deal critical damage like broken tail, no engine, or more than half of your wings gone. You can’t use that plane anymore regardless if you fix it or not.

then there should be an alternative way to avoid giving away plane kills to the enemy. For example, if a player manages to safely land their damaged plane on the ground, that plane should not count as a kill for the enemy .
This would also give purpose to the landing gear and flaps in the game and add an incentive to land rather than crash.
Kill credits should be more accurately attributed based on the actual damage caused. If a plane is hit but remains operational, and then crashes due to pilot error or an unrelated incident, the kill should not be awarded to the player who dealt minor damage.

Just… why?

What’s wrong in others gaining some xp in a game that has renowned high grind?

Does that bother you guys that much?

There was never a purpose on using landing gears and flap except for combat or for showoff. People are just gonna kamikaze and respawn later instead of wasting 1-5 minutes on repair and shit.

yea i dont get that tbh i mean it just like 120 score i think not that much (probably more idk i didnt pay attention to the score)

no bdy wants to give enemy a free kill if just 1-2 shots he hit on ur plane while dogfighting

i really dont see any kamikaze in my game,

Well some people in Germany vs Soviet battles does, but mostly they will bail out and be a pseudo solider.

then just stay in the air? If you land, it’s because those 1 - 2 shots were enough to damage your plane and cripple it…

sounds like the guy who camps in tanks, 1-2 shot causes nothing, i just want a simple thing… if somebdy shot my plane and somehow i manage to land that plane, then he should not get kill… itz simple—

Alright first I didn’t realize you might/do get XP for landing. And I get it about the XP. I am a F2P player and know how hard it it to grind out all the gear and vehicles. But I still don’t think a vehicle kill should be awarded. The pilot was able to land (albeit messing up the plane) safely enough where if it were more “realistic”, when pilots during the war landed their damaged plane, it would be repaired (hopefully) and the pilot sent off in a different plane (sort of like the game).

But there is barely any even land in the playzone except the carrier. By the time you land, your gear breaks and stuff. Even if you land, how are you gonna takeoff even since there is no runway except the carrier?

its easy to land in maps other than pacific

Dude I don’t ACTUALLY mean in the game have other players fix the plane. I mean like if this was more realistic, a pilot with a damaged plane who lands it safely enough to get out would, theoretically, be able to just jump into another plane while their old plane is being fixed. So hence why in the game you can take out another vehicle later on in the game after landing. Just the point is I don’t think a vehicle kill should go to a bit of damage on your plane if you successfully land it. Yes some maps are more suited to this than others, hence why XP (although it sounds like it’s already given) should only go to the pilot, not the player who damaged the plane.

itz simple.

if you land your plane after being shot, unless you manage to somehow take off again, your plane is out of commission. you did get shot, and landed because of it. The other guy succeeded in taking you down.

Imagine getting so bitter because a “1” appears in score tab beside another player’s name… :smirk:

tip:

  • don’t look at score tab and just enjoy the game
  • don’t ditch your plane (ditching = being out of commission)

:expressionless: ok
