Hi all. Just wanted to get you’re thoughts on something.
Is the M1A1 Thompson actually better than the Lancaster.
I actually quite like using the Lancaster and think it’s just as good if not better than the Tommy for a few reasons. The Lancaster has more base ammo, better recoil, much higher muzzle velocity and 2 extra rounds per clip.
Upgraded Thompson is quite easy to use and has a damage of 8.2. Thats a 2 hit to down even at a considerable distance. Much better at assaulting positions.
The Lancaster is (slightly) better as a defensive weapon where cover is more readily available so precision is key.
Thompson for better damage
Literally anything else for landing your shots without having to lead like you’re playing dodgeball
Thompson still shits on the grease gun tho
I prefer the Thompson, it has more vertical recoil sure, but it’s the easiest to manage. It’s horizontal recoil is also the lowest, wich makes it easier to control.
But what’s really important with this weapon is the damage it can dish out. It’s fantastic.
I think that is actually a pretty fair point. Thompson hits much harder at range. I’m sometimes a bit surprised when I kill someone 50+ metres away with a decent burst.
I use both and quite like both weapons. Looking forward to the drum mag open sights variant of the Thompson though as that will be a significant upgrade.
