I found it strange that the Taliban has Italian tanks, but it seems they were imported from Italy as part of Zāhir Shāhs “modernization.”
I think it is close to a miracle that they have survived through communization, the Soviet invasion, fierce intertribal warfare, the Taliban regime, the American invasion, and right up to the present.
