Mostly becaue of two things:
-
It’s resilient. It can resist TNT or EP and still bite viciously.
And when you finaly destroy it, it doesn’t feel cheap like for example destroying a jumbo with one explosion pack thrown in it’s general direction.
It just feels like the KV should feel, like a behemoth.
Genetally all tanks in Stalngrad feel more resilient. Ok, except T-70 but it’s mostly because of stupid drivers that try to headbutt the enemy infantry.
-
It’s power doesn’t come from grey zone camping.
Maybe it’s because of Stalingrad maps or maybe because of switch from EPs to TNT but I don’t see much tanks camping in the back.
Thanks to this, I’m not frustrated that I got killed by a guy I can’t deal with. I got killed because the enemy plays good.
And awareness that it’s power doesn’t come from cheesy tactics only increases my respect for this tank.
Those two things, resilience and “fairness” makes me respect this tank and actually fear it.
It actually feels rewarding to deal with this tank.
In contrast, when I was playing Normandy there were only two scenarios of inf vs tank engagements: I can’t reach him, I can delete him in 5s. Tanks were either annoyance or almost efordless exp.
What I don’t like about it:
-
It doesn’t sound powefull. Like, when this tank is rolling 1m from me, I should be stunned by it’s engine noise. I’d also add slight ground shaking (but very minor, not affecting the gameplay).
Generally all tanks don’t sound too good/powerfull.
-
It’s potentially spamable.
But it’s a problem of all weapons and equipment in the Enlisted by the design of the game.

I like it because its variety.
Doesn’t matter how strong a tank you add because infantry or Air support will always trump. (used properly ofcourse).
I generally dont find tanks scary personally. I find it scary how they effect most team mates. I make a point of removing them for others sake lol.
Tanks rely on the ignorance of players, and that’s when they dominate lol.

it takes 1 TNT on the drives hatch to kill it, not sure about turret roof, but it’s immune from the sides and it will burn if TNT is used on the engine deck

I just unlocked it today and man it’s fun.
I was a bit underwhelmed by the T34.
Unless it respawns 30s later I take it?
Cause yeah, this needs to be adjusted for all vehicles in all camapigns.
Well, the T-70 (tier 1) can destroy every single German tank in that campaign, with no issues.
Every German tank (tier 1 to tier 4) struggle with a well parked KV1.
Luckly that the Axis play better than the Allied in that campaign.
I guess they actually need the KV1.
So far I’ve experienced Russian players abaddoning their tank immediately after taking one hit, or even abandoning out right to run on foot even with no threat around
The Germans did not have any well protected tanks, which was not a problem in Moscow, because most Soviet tanks were also weak in armor. But this is not the case in Stalingrad. My Panzer IV often killed two or three members of KV and then was killed by one shot. Maybe the Germans in Stalingrad need kV-1b.

can the Panzer 4 pen a kv1 driver hull like in wt ?
yes can, but doesnt do much unlike in wt.
Your way of thought:
If I complain the enemy gear is too strong - skill issue.
If I say enemy gear is strong like it’s supposed to - retarded.
So are you actually giving feedback or you just want to insult people?
No. He is only bashing this game and its players…
Calling people retarded when he spends his time crying in game forum he dont even play… oh boi
Funny how it depends which faction is supposed to be strong.
I mean KV-1 “yeah super cool and stronk, super fun to fight against.”
T-50 “Yeah super cool and stronk, super fun to fight against, takes skill to kill”
Panther normandy “WHAT THE ACTUAL FK IS THIS OP SHT WAAA WAAA REMOOOOVE”

Yeah right… Thats exactly how axis mains describe that tank…
Somehow i remember how all snow started to smelt in moscow maps after t-50 was released, just cause those salty teardrops… or jumbo…
hahahaha. only thing you prove is what kind
you are
hence the quotation marks.
Yeah both definitely balanced and super fun to fight against because it requires skill = All ally mains.
And a river of tears once the panther rolled out, oddly it was no longer fun to fight against something that requires skill.
Doublestandards at its finest.
