Only mass user of Panther tank was Germany (and Hungary because they received Panthers from Germans) used them in medium role.
I have made it clear as day before that Panther is a medium tank in design, its thin side armour is obvious proof of this.

Well, since we aren’t following Wehrmacht standards, we should look at the majority. If both the USSR and the USA classified it that way (ignoring Great Britain and their peculiar system), then it is more appropriate to label the Panther as a heavy tank
